On May 26, 2016, my 23-month-old was able to wander away from Mosaic Early Childhood at 4023 W. Dempster St. in Skokie. She was able to go around the side of the building, through an opening between the banks temporary fence, as her group was going in from Mosaics outdoor playground. From there, at less than three feet tall, she trekked across the bank parking lot, across the back alley of Dempster Street and down the back alley of Keystone Avenue until she was about two houses from Crain Street (about a tenth of a mile -- thats quite a lot for a toddler!). That was about where a Keystone Avenue resident spotted her as she was driving to her house. The resident was able to get out of the car, speak with my child and usher her into a backyard that my daughter said was her house. This same resident was then able to park her car, get back out and find my baby still in the backyard. She and another neighbor realized something was wrong and took her door to door up the East side of Keystone Avenue from Crain back up to Mosaic because no one knew who she was. This entire time, until they got back to the daycare, no one from Mosaic went looking for my daughter. The resident who originally found my child said she then called the Skokie Police to ensure that this was noted and that the daycare did not "sweep it under the rug." We are lucky and had the best possible outcome in this scenario. Dont risk your child possibly having the worst outcome by sending your child here.

Place is very nice but the head women in charge isnt friendly has an attitude and doesnt know how to speak to ppl. You would think a place that has children and deals with parents often she would be more personable on top the fact of when I said my daughter was being pushed around she really didnt do anything it was the teacher who took into action. Overall its a good place just the man lady should be replaced. Need someone who knows how to speak to people.

My son really likes this early childhood center. He is in Rainbow 1. My son and i feel warm environment. Teachers are really nice and my sons teacher is like a mother. Thank you.

Very good early childhood care, but they could put more emphasis on early childhood learning and independent learning.
