Im so disappointed with Cresthaven. My grandfather passed away last week and he had pre-paid his funeral through them. We didnt think anything about it as when my grandma passed away, we also did everything through them and they were great. Well now they arent great. Let us begin with the fact that when my grandma died they did the programs, prayer cards, and obituaries for you. Now, they still do obituaries but if you would like it to read correctly, just do it yourself as when my step-uncle passed away about a month and a half ago they told them twice it was wrong and it was still printed incorrectly. My grandfathers viewing was on Sunday night. When we were leaving after the viewing we were told that they would be at the church with my grandfathers body by 9am and that they would be bringing the flowers and the register for people to sign in that came to the funeral. We informed the guy that it worked out perfect and that the family would be there at 9:30am. When we arrived at the church, my grandfathers body was no where to be found. Cresthaven didnt arrive at the church until five minutes before the mass was to begin. They told my mom it was because they got lost but it is like a 5 minute drive and they even admitted they had been to the church and were from the area. Mitchell is a small town, there is no way you can be that lost getting some where. My family was robbed of being able to say their last goodbyes to my grandfather due to them arriving so late. Not only that, but the flowers and everything else never got to be set up in the church. When we were done with the mass and were getting ready to go to the cemetery for the graveside they didnt line the cars up or give us flags to put on the car to identify that we were part of a funeral procession. After the graveside ceremony was finished a guy that worked for the funeral home approached my mom and told her that he had left some pens in the register box and he would like them back at her "earliest convenience." After we located everything, come to find out these pens were free pens from other businesses! My mom went in to pay for the engraving of my grandfathers headstone today to find out that they had charged her $40 extra dollars for a DVD for having over 50 pictures. She was never informed that there was a maximum amount of pictures or told what the fee would be per extra picture. My mom only had 19 extra pictures! Whatever you do, save yourself from extra stress and grief and dont use Cresthaven Funeral Home. Funeral homes are supposed to make things easier on the family in their time of grief but Cresthaven only has caused my mom more grief in already a stressful and sad time.

Very unprofessional and uncaring individuals. Had my sisters body here and refused to do anything unless they received the money upfront for the funeral. Then after her body was moved to another funeral home, they sent out the wrong obit stating the funeral would be held at their facility. They are not in the business to show compassion at all.

This is by far one of the worst funeral homes I have ever been too. Disrespectfull, they go against their word and they are absolute loars. No one give this horrific place business!
