Disgusting. As executor of her estate they marked the death certificate as male instead of female. To make things worse the State of Tennessee offices for registration of death certificates are moving. I will not receive her death certificate for at least 45 to 90 days. I may sue on the grounds of incompetence. Waiting, waiting waiting. I was told I could not sign the death certificate since I was not an immediate family member. Got my lawyer involved and all of a sudden I could. Another trip to sign the document.. At time of burial the guy who was handling it all was replaced and he messed up on the music. It took 4 trips to finally bury her and it was in the mausoleum. Her burial was fully paid for in advance. I had to purchase a plastic cover for her casket because the bodies in the mausoleum started to smell. As a man of the cloth there was a contingency to pay $100 to a minister to conduct a ceremony. It was transferred to another element that increased in cost to cover it. I did not receive the stipend. I could care less but what boneheads.

Horrible! My fathers burial arrangement only took less then 2 hours to plan. My mother passed away and we met for 6 1/2 hours to plan for funeral arrangements.. The funeral director was busy and she admit dealing with other clients and placed the wrong social security on my mothers death certificate. It has been a nightmare for our family. We cant delete bills nor deal with banks on her accounts because of incorrect death certificate. It is now taking months for vital records to deal with the correcting. It is now going on for two months since her death. In the beginning when I first told the people at Woodlawn what had occurred they begin acting like it was our fault. Even during her funeral at the mausoleum the funeral director told us she bring us water and we never see her and she never brought the water. The only time we saw the funeral director was when it was time to move guests to the chapel. I ask everyone they are only out for your money and dont care for the quality of care. They only take advantage of your bereavement.

I can not describe the disgust I have with this funeral home. My Aunt passed away a few weeks ago and none of the staff had the decency to wear a tie for her funeral. When asked all the response I got was "Its company policy". What kind of "company" would allow this practice. Absolute disgrace. And then I turn on the tv to see these funeral directors dont even have the class to wear ties at George Jones Funeral. "A Dignity Memorial Provider". There is no dignity here.

I had a brother funeral done at the Woodlawn. The staff are considerate and beyond professional. They were with us since the beginning to the end, we are grateful to have them. I recommend them to anyone to not look further than this funeral house.

Decent staff, I went there looking for Tammy Wynnettes grave and they helped me find it right away, even came out to help me search. Overall I got a good vibe off the funeral home staff.
