The absolute worst funeral experience I have ever had. They had the nerve to rush my nieces program and we were told to condense it , not that it was a long program anyway. The so called Obituary program was a joke. Im from Ohio and ours are a bit more detailing. That thing at the high price we payed for low class service was unbelievable. I was asked to round up the "active pallbearers" and was told that my niece was about to have her casket closed in 5 minutes so I need to hurry and gather them as If I was an employee there. REALLY, are you kidding me, Im allready late arriving because we had family staying in several different rooms in HENDERSONVILLE mind you , and you have the audacity to ask me when their should be a coordinator to do so. There was zero staff in the chapel where Tashelles service was being conducted, God forbid someone needed a tissue or anything else. If the building had caught on fire, we would of had to go find them to evacuate. At the cemetery, the funeral banners (which were very cheaply made) we had to take them off ourselves and take them to a worker standing near the hearse smoking cigarrettes with other staff. I was so outdone. There was no drive to the repass and waiting for us, instead we were taken back to the church to our individual cars. The killer came when staff yet again smoking cigarretes at the rear entrance was so busy smoking that they asked us " hey you guys need to come and get your plants and flowers" I was so livid. Im used to flowers and plants being delivererd to a home , hotel , somewhere convenient for the family, we as grieving family members had to go to the rear door, grab a couple plants and divide them into several vehicles while the staff indulged in their nicotine delight. I got a bit ahead of myself and forgot to note that upon arrival at the funeral home , there was yet a female staff member who was outside smoking her cigarrete, I was unsure as to the entrance and she told me you can come thru this way, there was noone to direct us to the chapel. I was totally lost as where to go until a friend of mine that I worked with when I lived in Nashville , came to show me where to go prior to being bombarded with instructions as to gather the pallbearers and meet in the office in 5 minutes. My great nieces mom had requested NOT to view the closing of the grave at the cemetary , as we were sitting in our cars after leaving the gravesite and waiting for the cars to leave out, the tractor was covering the grave as we sat there, no vehicles moving and her grave was covered completely before we noticed that we had to turn around and go back out the way we came in. I have been to many a funeral in my day, Tashelle was my 21 year old great niece and although the one thing I can say, she looked beautiful and peaceful but the for the rest of the service for the high price that was paid, I wouldnt bury my dog with Phillips-Robinson funeral home. Im a stickler for great service and at times I can even settle for good but this place was niether. They should work for Phillip Morris since thats their main objective. I have never in my 47 years entered a funeral service and had to bypass a disgusting smell of a cigarrette. Truly sad and praying for this establishment to improve its service for future families because at a time when you are grieving , you deserve a lot more than what this poor establishment offers.

My mother looked so beautiful . Better than I could have hoped for since she had lost a lot of weight in her last few months I was with her. And then couldnt ear at all for a few weeks. But they did her hair and make up and she looked at peace more than she had been. I am so great full for that. Everyone there was very kind and thoughtful to me in trying to help me do this as I was a mess. And her service went very well . The only thing I think needs to be made a little easier was in the organization of what was going to happen , when or at what point of the service. And with the Paul bearers . They never asked me who were going to be pall bearers . And 4 were grandsons who had not done this before. I had Togo ask where they wanted them and who was supposed to put their Paul on their jacket. We barely got them on them before the service. Everything turned out great. . I think you might just want to make sure someone is in charge of that. But thanks to all the staff for all you did to help at what was one of my hardest days in my life to go through.

How can we begin to show our thanks to this business. They took our son into their care and handled the entire funeral service for us. When you have lost a loved one, especially a young man, your mind is blurry, your heart aches and the list goes on. The last thing you are thinking of, or even want to attempt to process is planning a service in rememberance of the person that is gone. Ranchel is very kind, well informed and if there is a question she cannot answer, she will gladly seek it out. They did an amazing job with the last time we were to see our son, I would recommend this home as true professionals and you can rest easy with confidence in whom you are placing your loved ones final care. Thank you all again for the compassion shown to our family, you know not what kind of peace you helped to bring us in our time of despair.
