I called in to schedule an appointment and was greeted nicely on the phone. I was told that I would get set up with Stephanie for my cut and that it would be 70$ as she was experienced. Ok. I didnt want someone new as Im not as good at giving directions. I was greeted by 2 folks who both kinda looked like they would be totally cool if the other person handled it, but were professional. They checked me in and told me to have a look around while I waited for my stylist. She was running late and I waited 15-20 minutes and read some nice magazines. She seemed friendly. Minimal conversation. I had a hair cut in mind that my last stylist over 40 min drive would do, but after she stopped due to the new baby and then moved I lost track of her. I seriously would drive hours for her. My new stylist and I discussed my options and I had related I liked the cut with a very chunky layer from chin to cheek (not quite a straight bob), but mostly needed to remove the mousy housewife hair that had not been cut in 6 months with the new baby. She nodded at first and then shook her head no and she related she thought I would look better with hair to my shoulders, with a lot of layers. Ok. I related I had a hair cut like that very Monica Lewinsky and liked it before. Well give it a go, felt excited, I needed to get a regular style program again. I told her I couldnt see without my glasses. When she put them back on after a few minutes of cutting (10 or so if you count the wash and dry.. before she started cutting)... she gave me a trim, straight in the back without layers (and not all that striaght), with an uneven layering about 1-2 cm from edge to top layer.... diagonal that stopped before my ears. She did use a 30 seconds of trimming the ends so it flowed better, but even this touch stopped in front of my ears. It was over. I had a sports cut hair cut for 70 dollars. Word to the stylist... if the customer says when they put on their glasses "is that it?" Its bad, dont just reexplain your thoughts on the haircut. If they start to tear up and get choked up, a glass of water and a discussion on alternative would be nice. No amount of round brushing covers that I have almost no layers and if it did Id see it when I got home (a round brush almost eliminated the 1 pseudolayer I have) and may hid the uneven, but only as long as the hairspray holds. Ive had my hair in a pony tail for the last few weeks. Ive got to find a new stylist. This is terrible. I almost asked if someone else was available.. that minute and kinda wish I did, but Im a doormat. I would not call this a haircut from an experienced stylist. I dont care if she was behind and decided to rush. This was terrible. My husband who doesnt know what color the walls are in the bedroom after 3 years gave me a pity look when I got home and didnt ask what was wrong.. he said... "its not that bad." 2 seconds later.. it was in an elastic band.

(This is from Mrs. Kim Stoneking, not Kim.) Salon 01 is as superior a professional business as it is friendly and competent in providing customer service. It is such a treat to have not only one service, but additional services done, all at one place, on a given "personal" day. And then, :) ... a client may browse the lovely boutique! Sale items for women and men are always available. Also, have a cup of complimentary coffee, tea, or water, and, gather points towards services by keeping those appointments that are scheduled at the time of service. Of course, the important thing is, the services are worth the price. Dawn is my personal Designer, and does her best to serve me and get me the hairstyle Im trying to describe. She also gives a fabulous shampoo and scalp massage, as well as using appropriate products. And then, there is Allen, the massage and reflexology therapist. He is very organized, skilled and professional. I had reflexology for the first time today and learned much about it. My feet tingled and felt refreshed for hours. :) Now, I want to experience more services available!

worst haircut i have ever gotten in my entire life! dont go to this salon, they are incredibly over priced and not worth it at all. Ive been trying to grow my hair out, and needed a trim so i went here, and the girl was super nice and talked about how she was gonna make my hair look good and long and then ended up giving me a ton of SUPER short layers which i am still trying to grow out, and its been 9 months since that haircut!! my hair still looks really choppy and horrible!! on top of that, they tried to charge me way more than they said the haircut would be over the phone. i hate my hair right now and will never go back to that place.

Fantastic experience with Salon 01! I called on a Saturday & was booked for a Monday evening appointment. I was greeted warmly & then met my Stylist, Ashley. She was awesome! She gave me a tour of the salon that truly is a one stop pleasure for pampering. Took the time to listen & look at my hair, texture and face shape. Provided a very relaxing head massage with my shampoo. The style she gave me was exactly what I was looking for & I was able to duplicate it the next day for work. She took me from frump to feeling pretty about myself! I booked my next appoinment & am very happy to have found the perfect stylist for me. Thank you Ashley!

I was very disappointed with this salon, and I wouldnt recommend it! I made a point of asking the prices when I made the appointment. After the appointment, the price ended up being $50 more than what was quoted to me, because the stylist used several colors. I understand the procedure but I wouldnt have chosen the salon had I known about the prices. I was assured it wouldnt be over a specific price. They also tried to charge me $10 too much for a brush, when the prices were posted in plain sight. It definitely wasnt worth the money. The color looks awful and Im counting down the days until my next appointment somewhere else.

I have only been there twice. The first time my hair was un-even but tolerable yesterday was my second time there. My hair is so uneven this time it doesnt blend at all. What makes me the most upset is that I am charged $58 for my haircut (I know this going in and I am willing to pay) but the time spent on my haircut was 20 minutes!!!!! My appointment was at 3:00 and my check out ticket says 3:19. Im sure there are stylists there that spend quality time with their client, talk to them and give them a great haircut... But who I saw and my experiences, I am very dissatisfied and will definitely no be going back!
