February 4, 2017. I arrived at the academy at 3:15, 1hour and 45 minutes before posted closing, door was locked, with at least 2 people inside as I looked inside of the window. A person who unlocked the door when asked her name, "Savannah", she stated, very rudely asked me what services I was wanting, I informed her a simple hair cut.I gave her my name. She gave me a look as if I was interrupting her and with the being door locked I assumed I did interrupt her and the other person. I would have never trusted her or the other person with a simple hair cut, as she was angry me asking her name. This African American older women who locked the door 2 hours before closing is not the owner, I assumed this is a person the owner entrusted her business with, mistake on owners part. This women I assume is an instructor who cut my hair one other Saturday after the owner left. It had to be the worse haircut I have ever received. It has taken months for my hair to grow out of the chopping whe gave me. I will go back and I will make sure the owner is in the business. Owner I assume you want your business to be open until 5pm, Well, with Savannah in charge it is not , it is closing at least 2 hours early, and your are not aware of it, or what your employee is cheating you of 2 hours of work not including money.you could recive. Most people would assume your business ise closed if door is locked and window blind is half closed.. Wonder if this is happening every day when you leave at 3pm. Also if that was a student or students with Ms Savannah who, who was adding 2 hours each saturday to her required hours, she is cheating the state of Indiana licensure requirements with the help of your employee, Savannah., bad business to cheat the sate of Indiana licensure

I wish there was an option to give no stars. I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute facial on Thursday. I made an appointment for Saturday(5/23/15) at 1pm. When I arrived a lady had just received a facial and was checking out at the front desk. Apparently she had purchased the same groupon I did. She vocalized how bad the service was and the instructor who apparently gave her the facial agreed. The instructor told me that the student that does the facials did not show up today. She admitted that she attempted to do a facial on the lady that was before me and did not do a good job. So there are two problems here 1. I did not receive a call before my appointment alerting me that the student that does the facials did not show up. 2. It is alarming that the instructor of the academy does not know how to do a facial. She let me leave the salon without rescheduling or showing any concern that they had wasted my time and money. The whole experience was so unprofessional and bizarre I will never return. Its a shame too because it is less than 2 minutes from my house. Had they provided the services that they promised me when I purchased the groupon they might have gained a lifelong client. Shame shame shame!

I went to Ideal Beauty Academy because I bought a Groupon for a facial, and I decided to get a pedicure while I was there because the price was $19. This saved me around $10 from my normal place. I was very disappointed to see that the Academy used a Conair foot bath and an uncomfortable chair in place of an actual pedicure chair and foot bath. The pedicure took close to 3 hours, and I had to change the color I chose 3 times because the nail paint that was available was so old that it was dried and clumpy or the brushes for the nail polish was so frayed the student couldnt use it. Once I was finally finished they charged me $29 dollars for the pedicure because of the "products" I received, which I was not asked at the time if I wanted to upgrade my pedicure to receive any "special products". After leaving, the nail polish came off on 3 of my toes, and the paint job was horrible. I was so angry! Ill never go back to the Beauty Academy for any other service. I understand theyre students, but the upcharge and lack of decent facilities was intolerable!
