The Manager insinuated I was lying.....The gym was honestly great. I enjoyed attending with husband! I unfortunately had to cancel due to a move so I cancelled on a 14th. I was helped by 2 associates that seemed very professional and assured me after I asked twice that my credit card would not be charged again because I paid the fee to cancel before a year. To our surprise we realized that we had been charged 2 times after our cancellation. One 4 days after we cancelled and the next on the 18th of the next month. I called the facility and they told me that I could not be helped over the phone so I had to go into the original plant fitness I signed up with. I went in a few days later because I lived so far away and they informed me that again I could not be helped because no manager was on duty. I left a copy of my cancellation paperwork with an associate to pass on to a manager as soon as they arrived to work. I did not receive any word regarding my account until I called to comfort the manager. She informed me that I would only be refunded one month because I did not cancel my membership by the 10th in the month I cancelled my account. I assured her that I was promised by two associates that I would not be charged again and I expected plant fitness to keep their word. I explained that by charging my account after I cancelled charged me interest on my credit card and technically they should have to pay for that also regardless if it was only a few dollars in interest. She quickly said she would have to get the regional manager to approve. I waited 5 days for a response and I heard nothing. I called and the same woman was manager luckily but she said that she had only sent me a response to my claim to the email on file. Why would you email when you assured your customer a prompt call back? Anyways she then explained that they had to honor our agreement and that I would only be refunded for one month. I asked if there was anything we could do about my cancellation month because it was not my fault I was promised the wrong thing. She then explained that the two associates that had handled my account have worked there for a very long time and she was positive they would not have informed me of the wrong information.......So not only are you not honoring your word but the manager is now accusing me of lying....This experience has caused me never to want a gym membership with planet fitness again. It felt like the woman manager was extremely disrespectful and could have cared less about a customer.

Planet Fitness in Plainfield on US-40 is a good friendly no pressure gym that fits my needs. For $20.00 a month which is the Black Membership provides unlimited tanning, treadmills, and weight machines. There is really no real supervision as far as trainers, locker rooom for men and women is clean, showers etc. Massage chairs also. There is not a pool, sauna, or any other amenities. For $10.00 you get everything except tanning. You can bring a guest everyday for free and split your months fees, the guest does not have tanning privlidges. The staff is friendly and the hours are from 5 am to 11 pm on weekdays, they also have weekend hours. It is a cheap way to get some exercise and is not for those wanting to bang weights so to speak. For that go to a higher end gym. I like the place, it has what I need. If you want to terminate your membership you can do so for a $58.99 charge. I rate it very high.

The staff is nice, but thats about the only good thing about this "gym". It more often than not smells like feet/old socks. The clientele here are disrespectful to other gym users by crowding around where you are working out, taking weights off your rack, etc. Sometimes the gym is kind of dirty feeling, even though the staff will clean machines AS youre using them (yes, this really happens here. So unsafe.) Ive been to other, nicer, planet fitnesses. Not sure what it is about this location, but Ive had enough.

I dont use the staff that much. However what I have an issue with us the lack of free weights. The clients that come there are beginners in this workout game so they have no gym educate. For the money you pay and your not really in to your working out its ok. However if your hard core go elsewhere. I am a black membership customer and this is my opinion on the 3 gyms Ive been to.

Crap. What was once nice 5 years ago has steadily gone down hill. 6 months to replaces broken towel dispenser and now they dont even keep half of the dispenser with towels...they are empty. Weights dont get put up. Male employees sit or stand doing nothing. Poor management Freon the top down it would seem..or lack of management.

They dont enforce their strict rules on everyone equally. Machines are often broken and staff are often away from the desk. They leave the scanner on the counter and trust people to scan in. They do keep the gym clean. Most staff and are professional and polite. Dont expect to get out of the contract online.

Nice facility, lots of machines to use and friendly staff, good tanning beds and massage chairs, only issue would be training classes should accommodate working members so the classes offered should be available to those in the evening not just Mon-Friday 8-5. Great shift for the one trainer in the facility.

Nice and clean but small gym. Evening times are pretty packed so if youre looking for a quick session then try earlier in the day or later at night. I would give it 5 stars but there are a few staff members that need to lose the attitude.

An absolute favorite in my travels...good for truck parking. Nice showers and locker rooms, awesome Affinity 700 beds as well as stand up booths, next to a Walmart, Mall, and movie theater...AND fully equipped!!! Nice job Plainfield!!!

All amenities besides the work out equiptment have been unavailable for the past month with out notice. This gym isnt very old and they are already remodeling? Unacceptable!

Great place to work out. I miss the traditional bench press, but otherwise the gym is awesome. ALWAYS CLEAN. And very responsive staff.

I typically go between midnight to 5am. No more than 5 ppl there and so I can use whatever equipment I need and get out of the way.
