I brought my 3/4 ton pick up truck here to get an estimate on a rear drum brake change. The owner of the shop happily told me that hed take a look and call me back. The estimate was over $600 and I declined this work (I also had them fix a valve stem and remove part of an exhaust pipe). I was charged $150 for the brake estimate since i declined the full job. The employee that called to tell me about this charge also noted that they usually have a labor charge for the larger trucks (this common knowledge was never proactively told to a new customer). I realize that some things arent free but I was never informed of this charge until I declined the work. If I had of known I would have looked to other shops for a their pricing too and then made my decision. The shop was clean and looked reputable but fell very short when dealing with new customers. I guess you can name your price when you dont want to do the work and then expect new clients to learn the hard way. Thanks for an expensive valve stem and exhaust flange removal. FAIL.
