So much for not overcharging. I let this business have two attempts at servicing a vehicle. The first time, I wanted an inspection of a used car I wanted to buy. I asked them for 5 to 10 minutes on their lift to examine the front suspension just to see if anything major was out of place. I offered to pay them for their time. However, they wanted $50 for that 5 to 10 minutes. ...so I instead went to Boubin on Blairs Ferry and they did the inspection for free. The second time, the car needed a battery. Master Auto charged $184 for a battery plus installation. I ll let you all decide if that sounds fair for a domestic vehicle which has the battery tray in a very easy location and installation takes literally 5-10 minutes. My opinion is this business discriminates based upon their perceived knowledge of the customer. My friend (who is female) brought the car in and paid the $184 before I had a chance to tell her she was being ripped off. Thanks, Master Auto -- hope the extra $75 you made is worth the reviews I am putting here and everywhere else I can find.

Ellie and Nick are very honest and fair. They explain what is wrong with my vehicle , what they recommend doing, and give a really accurate approximation of the costs. They do not put cheap, inferior parts in and Im guessing , Andrew, thats why your battery costed what it did. They just put a new battery in my vehicle and it costed the same as yours; because they dont bother with cheap; they installed the quality battery theyd use for their wives cars! They do not do unnecessary repairs and their labor fees are extremely fair and they are excellent at diagnosis. I have trusted them for the last 20 years with all of our family vehicles of all makes and models. I recommend them with my utmost respect!

FRIENDLY, TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST. great guys cost was less then quoted and only took a few days had a gas leak on my new car they said they could drain it themselves but suggested i drive it till its low since it was leaking to bad when not full cause it would cost somthing like 100$ to drain it not 100% on that cost its being a while but went got the car back within 2 days of droping it off every other shop was saying a week or more and they said keep an eye on it if it looks like its still leaking or you smell fumes after a few days bring it back and well take care of it great guys ill use them every time theres a problem i cant figure out

I am sure that most auto repair businesses are honest but how do you now. Over the 30 years that I have lived in the Marion area I have tried different businesses from the ford dealer to small private businesses. About 5 years ago I took my daughter’s car to Master Auto and I have been a regular customer sense. I do my own oil but I don’t do Alternators, brakes, wheel bearing. I have Mater Auto do that.

Master Auto in Marion is a fantastic auto repair shop. They are great about telling you what you need done and what can wait or you can plan for down the road. I have gone there for the last 10 years and both Nick and Eli are exceptionally good guys and very easy to talk to and work with. I highly recommend them and thank them for all of the great service!!!!!!

I had a belt break while driving through Marion on Sunday afternoon, with the family with a trailer on a move from Dubuque to California. Although they were a little non-committal at first, they did a great job squeezing us in on a busy Monday morning and getting us back on the road. Thank You!

Been there with several different vehicles. Everyone they did exactly what needed to be done. Had an issue with one time, they fixed it the way it was supposed to be. Love these guys! Take your car there, you wont be disappointed.

They really are as honest as people say - if you dont need it done they will tell you. The only trouble I have found is that it can be hard to get in with them because they are so popular.
