My experience with Midwest was very good. I actually showed up a little earlier than scheduled, maybe 15 minutes, and I didnt wait 10 minutes for someone to talk to me. I did have to take a couple of typing/speed tests on the computer, but the results were almost instantaneous and I was back talking to an agent maybe 5 minutes later. I admit, I didnt get the job that had been listed, but no one tried to force a position I wasnt interested in on me. They kept my job requests in mind, but they werent shy about offering a job that wasnt EXACTLY to my specs, which I think is fine. I was in a temporary position maybe a week after interviewing with them. And more importantly to my eyes, they didnt try to tell me that the short term temporary position was temp-to-hire. I was and still am very pleased with Midwest.

AVOID - Unless you want a dead end job at the big bank across the street. Prepare to wait forever in their front office, meet with a staffing representative, take a bunch of computer tests, wait even longer for results, then wait to talk to another recruiter. I ended up getting a job by going directly to the HR dept. of the company I WANTED to work for and not the lame position the recruiter tried to twist my arm to be interested in. Jobs they list dont exist or are already filled. Bad all the way around.

I tried out a few different staffing agencies to help find a career where I could utilize my degree. Midwest Professional Staffing was the only one that actually continuously followed up with me with possible opportunities. It took me several months to find a job that was the right fit and ended up with a permanent accounting position at a corporate office. Michael J. was great to work with and helped me out a lot throughout the whole process.

This place has good intentions but doesnt live up to them. At first, it seemed like they were going to be able to get me a job but took forever to get back to me. I feel like they try hard but dont have a good track record of consistently getting work for those who need it. You might have better luck with them than I did, but Id try another staffing agency first.

I scored great but they do not want to talk to me. The rep. I had avoids my calls and is never in even on regular week days. Seems pointless. Go another route.
