During the summer of 2013 we replaced all 17 of our windows. We contacted J & R Construction because our best friends used them for a kitchen makeover, which turned out great. We were impressed!! Jimmy came to our home and provided two different style windows for us to choose from. After deciding which window to use, Jimmy returned, measured all the windows and gave us an estimate for installation. We owed it to ourselves to research other window companies and their costs. We discovered the cost per window was about the same regardless of the company. As our friends put it, we were comparing apples to apples. So, my concern wasnt so much the cost, but rather the installation. We knew of other individuals who were very disappointed on how their windows were installed, leakage, insulation problems and drafts. The installer for J & R construction did an excellent job. They look great and were already seeing an improvement on our energy costs. For future home improvements, we will definitely contact J & R construction. We strongly recommend them to anyone with home improvement needs. As a reference here, contact Jimmy, we would be glad to talk to you more about our experience.

We recently had J & R Construction remodel our downstairs family room and are very happy with their work! They took the time to walk us through each stage of the project so we always knew exactly what to expect and when to expect it. Jimmy is very conscientious about the people he hires and all the contractors and subcontractors are well-vetted. Seth was very helpful with design ideas and in selection of carpeting and paint. We never felt uncomfortable with anyone working in our home. They were careful to clean up, respectful of our home and privacy, and very patient with our two dogs - never once letting them out of the yard. We would definitely hire them again for any future projects. We received bids from five different companies and while J & R were not the least expensive, the quality of their work is well worth any savings we may have gained by using an inferior contractor.

I own Madison Co. Rentals. J & R Construction recently completed a repair/remodeled of a roof for us on one of our units. We had a flat roof. They constructed a sloped roof to prevent further leaks. They tied in the existing shingles on the roof into the new addition. They replaced gutters and covered the soffit with metal. Their work was very professional. They kept us informed on delays (rain and when they would be able to complete the job). We have used J & R before for many other projects, including a new build duplex for a rental. We are very satisfied with their workmanship and professionalism.

Remodeled master bathroom. Gutted, removed tub. Replaced with tiled walk in shower, permanent bench seat (warmed), glass door/wall, grab bars, hand held in addition to regular shower head, heated tile floor, elevated low flush toilet and new vanity, sink, cabinet, mirror, lights, fan, towel bars, robe hook. Removed carpeting from master bedroom and replaced with hardwood flooring. Had closets redone for better storage. Everything repainted (walls & trim) and added crown molding. Removed original carpeting in stairs to basement and replaced with new carpet. Replaced light and repainted.

We contracted with J & R to paint our house exterior. The finished product is great! The painter, Art, matched the paint color of existing trim perfectly. Art and his team were fast, precise, professional, cleaning up after themselves so that the only evidence that they were here is the professional paint job. Jimmy, company president, is easy to work with. He kept us informed of the project status on a timely basis and ensured that all went well. Id definitely recommend considering J & R for any house improvement project.

Every project that weve involved J & R Construction has been a satisfying experience and this project was not different. They designed, removed the old deck and built a beautiful new deck. It is very sturdy and maintenance free! Our old back door was also replaced with an attractive, energy efficient door. They communicate well and often. Any debris is cleaned up and hauled away but, most importantly, the project is done right and completed professionally. Our next project will start with a call to J & R Construction.

We purchased a home and contacted remodelers with regard to redoing our kitchen and some general improvements. We spoke with Jimmy and Seth who offered advice and some great ideas and were able to work within our budget. We had some time constraints and they got the work done on-time. When an issue cropped up, they worked through it and made sure we were satisfied. The work itself was top notch and we are very pleased with the final result.
