I worked here for this company for a very short time, thankfully. After one assignment was over, a lady called me to place me on another assignment but I had a better job offering from somewhere else a few days later, and I called her back and told her "Im sorry, I just want to let you know I have a better opportunity with another company, I wanted to let you know so I wont be a no call, no show for you." I didnt want her to wait around on me when I wasnt going to show up, most people dont really care if the employer sits around all day or not but I informed her to be nice. A few months ago, I called back to see if they had any part-time openings available because I could have used the extra work and the person who answered told me that I had been placed on the "Do not place on assignment for a year" category. It was a waste of time!!!

I worked 4 jobs when I worked for York; The first was a decent job for Best Buy, the second was a small wire sorting job for Geek Squad, the third was a job in a shady box making facility which had major safety issues. The last job was another job for Geek Squad; I was hired on to pick parts and transport them to their destination, but when I got there I was instead assigned to Ipad Repair, and told that the original job was never available. Eventually I got fired from the job, Geek Squad will not allow me to come back and did not say why. York Companies will not hire me anymore and has denied my applications.

You can work at a minimum wage job and make as much there as you do here. They promise jobs making 13+ an hour but by the time you get your first check and taxes plus the large sum of money they take out you really only see about 200 a week. Also this isnt a temp to hire job, they will move you around every 90 days to a new position or move you to a different company. To top it all off the recruiters are awful, they are very unprofessional and treat you like crap.

While this company seems to be a good temp service to use, i wouldnt recommend it. they ask that you put in at-least a 2days notice for leaving, from what my and other people have experienced the employer doesnt want you to come back. I also can say that my rep whom i wont mention got mine and another guys information confused and misplaced for several days. Costing my wife her job and had me nor my wife days of work.

York Companies found the perfect opportunity for me. York placed me with the company I have been with for the last 6 monthes. Not only did York find a job for me that matched my needs, goals, and previous education/experience, but they also placed me right culture. I look forward to going to work each day and that speaks VOLUMES for YORK COMPANIES...I would reccommend them to anyone in job market!

I used York Companies while on my job search and my recruiter Erika was horrible. She called me for opportunities that turned out to be pointless. I recently changed my name and she didnt even catch it until we were on the phone and even then she didnt know who I was. I willl NEVER use this company again to help me get a job! I advise anyone else not to use them, you will end up wasting your time!!!

I work for York and they are fantastic. I have never worked for another organization that cares so much about their employees. They actually have a full time person whos job is to take care of employees and help them get what they need in order to be successful. Name one other staffing company that has that! Love, love, love York Companies

i worked for york for only six months and i hated it Rick Jackson is a horrible recruiter he would always forgets everything he would tell you that he would call you and he wouldnt. On one of my pay checks he took 100 dollars out of my check and didnt tell me why and i never got it back if anyone reads this DONT WORK FOR THEM

I work for York and think they are great!!! They offer fantastic opportunities and seem to genuinely care about their employees. I don’t think there’s another agency in town that I would even consider working with!! You guys are great!!!!

Terrible company to work for. They will place you in a job based on your gender and then when you bring these problems to attention you get discharged. Have a problem? Dont bring it to attention or youre done. Dont work here.
