Moving from Dallas, Ive been so frustrated looking for a barber. Ive been to so many: derby city chop shop,J town barber,sport clips,great clips ect Im not saying that places like Derby City cant cut. I just dont want to get up at sun rise and have to wait an hour to get a cut then hear some bro talk about how his metal band is "so different" than all the other bands around. or You know how when you go to sportsclips ask for a fade and they do a 2 all around and youre like "wheres the fade?" I found Handsome Fellows Barber shop to be clean and put together very well. You can tell the owner took a lot of care to design a space with style-minded gentlemen decor.There was almost no wait when I went on my lunch break. As far as price, this might change in the future as the shop gains more clients but the price is unbeatable. $14 for a haircut which includes a back of the neck straight razor. Ive gladly paid $40 for this at other places.Its a sign of a real barber. Although, I was not very talkative the owner Ryan and the barber that cut my hair Scott were friendly. They seemed like two cool young motivated guys not pretentious or tools. Im leaving this review because I hope this new business successes and I can come here for many years to come. I finally found my barber shop!

THIS IS A REAL BARBER SHOP! Ive been getting my hair cut by the same barber in Tennessee for 28 years. Ive spent the past two yours in lexington and louisville trying to find a "real barber shop" not a sports clips type or a maybe barber maybe hair salon. Its a rare thing to find a real barber shop but this place is it. As soon as you walk in it feels masculine and classic. Checkered floors, comfortable seating, cool signs up. Scott cut my hair and did a great job. Used a straight razor to trim which is imposible to find anymore. Scott and Ryan both cut up with me the whole time. Ill also add just as Scott was finishing my cut a mother brought in a small boy maybe 6 years old. The boy was shy but immediately these two guys started talking to the boy and really tried to make it fun for him. That says a lot in my book. So in closing youll get a great hair cut at a great price by some genuinely nice guys that also happen to not be tools or pirates haha

Handsome Fellows is awesome! Ive known the owner for years and proud to have been a first hand witness/client during his transition from corporate America to entrepreneur. Im pretty picky about my hair and a detailed oriented person and Ryan Cornell gets that! This shop is the perfect blend of old/new, classic/trendy. Theres a good "guy place" vibe with friendly conversation. They make you feel at home. The products they offer are a bonus as well!

Ryan and Scott are class act guys! Their place is excellent and has a great atmosphere! They can do any style of haircuts for kids to adults( I get a pompadour fade) for the best price in the Louisville area!!highly recommend you try them out! You wont go anywhere else. Id recommend you call ahead they are typically booked during peak hours but always take walk-ins, and the wait time is highly reasonable. Give them a call!! Theyre great guys!!

This place is the best! I drive an hour and pass many shops on my way, and know Im going to get the best cut/service anywhere! Prices are lower than they should be- they really are full service shop. Beard trims are amazing, you leave there feeling totally different about yourself. I will follow these guys whenever. Awesome with kiddos too! A+ Chad McRae
