One of my favorite chain restaurants. I love this place. An individual can spend $15 (probably a drink an entree only) or easily spend $60. I once heard someone complain that this place is expensive. Yes, it can be... if you let it. A 20 spot will almost always take care of business for me. Sometimes I spend a little more. Bring an extra $10 to cover a slice of cheesecake. Good: The Mediterranean-style (I think) interior. The decor makes me feel as if Ive traveled abroad. Well... perhaps that is a bit much... but I certainly forget that Im at Mall St. Matthews. Its good. I swear I think the menu is thicker than a King James Bible. Its crazy thick with sooooo many ways to please the taste buddies. Like breakfast? They have a whole page with nothing but omelets served all day. They also have some of the best fish tacos that Ive ever had. Like booths? Well they have em. They are big and over-sized. They even have a few round table booths. Bad: If you do not have the luxury of eating at a booth and are seated at a regular table... be warned... they are practically on top of each other. It is tight. Once at a table, I found it impossible to not watch a guy eating lettuce wraps who was about three feet from my face. I had to make an extra effort to talk to my friends who seemed further away than the lettuce wrap guy. It gets crowded easy. What do you expect?... its a popular place. When there is a crowd, it is standing room only (there are only a couple of small benches. The pagers they hand out will reach into the mall enough to find a few more benches... but this is still very limited even when the mall is open. Overall... I love it. When I feel like some excellent, chain-style grub, and I know Ill be in the neighborhood (the land between the malls!), I try to work in a visit.

We ate here when we were visiting Louisville on vacation. We have always been pleased with our experience at other Cheesecake Factories sk it seemed like a safe choice. It wasnt very crowded and we got seated right away. This is not typical of the other ones we had been to, but we figured it was because it was a weekday or something. Our server was very friendly. There is really only one problem that I would for sure blame on her which is that I ordered a beer when we ordered our food and it never came. It wasnt on the bill either though so my guess is that she just forgot. By the time I realized it probably wasnt coming, it was too late to say something. I ordered the pasta carbonara, a dish I had order a few times before at other locations, but this time I didnt get it with chicken. When I got my food it looked very different from what I was used to seeing. I started stirring it and hadnt taken a bite when the waitress returned and said that she thought I got the wrong food. She took it and said she was "going to go find my food." I wasnt sure where she "found it" whether it was the kitchen or someone elses table. I tried not to think about it too much. Either way, it didnt taste anywhere close to how good its been in the past. It was kind of bland and there was an abundance of peas and only about 3 bits of bacon. At this point though our kids were getting really restless as we had asked that their food be brought out right away and it had taken a lot longer for ours. I didnt want to delay things any further so I forced it down and we left. I will say that we contacted the restaurant and they gave is a gift card to make it right. I will definitely keep going to Cheesecake Factories, but Im not sure if Ill go to this one again.

It was a horrible experience and I will probably never be back and never recommend it! Our waitress was rude! 6 people who sat down after us and she took their order after us but they received their big meals before us and all we ordered was a Chicken Quseadia and a Cheeseburger meal and ordered our Cheesecake to go. My cousin asked for sugar and we got a dirty look and she did bring it but was rude about it and 30 minutes after ordering and seeing the other people get their food I asked if she could checked on our order and if looks could kill lets just say that I wouldnt be typing this and we watched her go around the corner and start bitching to her manager. I asked my cousin was she complaining about us and she said i dont know but her comes the manager....and he said are you all waiting on a to go order and we said no and explained everything that had happened and how rude our waitress was and about that time she tapped him on the shoulder and said she had it. The manager said he didnt know what was wrong but he would find out and let us know and if we would like another waitress and we both said yes. He brought out our food but without the fries because they had to make new....probably because they was cold. He did apologize and said he didnt know what happened but would get us a new waitress but he did not nor did he come back to check on us. I did not want to leave her a tip but I did because my daughter was a waitress and its a very hard job.....but the disrespect that we got that day was uncalled for and the manager saying he would get us a new waitress but didnt was extremely wrong.

My husband is a huge fan of cheesecake, so we often stop in for dessert to go. Normally, we have had wonderful experiences with friendly staff and delicious food. However, this time we were served by "Nakesha L" at the takeout counter on 4/9/17, and it was a miserable experience. Nakehsa was frosty and rude, and even yawned widely while I was placing my order with her. I love the chocolate fudge cake, and there was some on display. When I requested a slice, I was told "We dont have that." I expressed my surprise and said that there was some labelled and on display, at which point she said "Its frozen," and didnt provide any other suggestions or apologies. She finished taking our order without once making eye contact, and it was very clear that she was not happy to be there. I have worked in many restaurants, and it has always been policy to greet customers with a smile. The way in which customers sets the tone for the rest of their experience, and this was not a positive visit. Overall, the desserts that we chose were delicious. However, this was an excellent example of "its not what you say but how you say it." My husband had his wisdom teeth removed the day before and he faced that experience with more enthusiasm than Nakesha had. Normally, we find the staff at the Cheesecake Factory to be cheerful and pleasant. After our order was finished, we debated asking to speak with a manager, but after that unpleasant experience, we decided not to spend any more time in the restaurant.

From the understated wait to having part of our table done with their food while the others waited, our party of 9 had the WORST dining experience of our lives. We were informed 15 minutes after ordering that they were out of ALL appetizers. The waitress filled my iced tea with warm tea which left my tea warm and without ice and acted bothered that I asked for ice. My husband was then notified that they had no turkey for his club sandwich (replaced it with chicken). My Chipolte pasta was not done, dry and sent back and my sons Alfredo must have been sitting in the window for 30 minutes because the noodles were crunchy on the top. Another member ordered the Shepherds Pie and the grease pooled in the bottom. My daughters hamburger, ordered medium well, arrived medium rare. It was greasy and gross and fell apart. She had eaten half of it before I realized it wasnt done. She stayed home this morning with stomach cramps and diarrhea. No reason was given for the one entree that came out 20 minutes before anyone elses. Both managers were respectful and took care of the bill. Their prices are ridiculous and this isnt the first time we have had REALLY bad service and food not even close to being worth what they charge. We will not be back.
