The Slidell location has been a mostly great experience. I enjoy plugging in my headphones and watching the news or something on Netflix while doing my elliptical as it helps to pass the time. I get good use out of the 30 min circuit as well. The facility has been really clean and there is always a bottle to wipe off a station after you use it to be courteous. My only negative would be the "trainer" sessions. I have been out of the gym for a long long time and wanted to see if there was anything he would recommend for me to get started. I would honestly have gotten better advice from a magic 8 ball shake toy. The advice of "yeah we got lots of machines and stuff so just do what you want" is not exactly what you want to here from a person who is supposed to give you at least a reasonable understanding of what workouts would help you accomplish a goal. I didnt allow this to put me off. The guy seemed to be either just out of high school or something so I just mocked it up to a shitty guy for the job thing. I eventually found some support on the planet fitness forums and what other members started to do and it has been really helpful. I started off at almost 380 lbs and am down 45 lbs in just a few short months. The gym has a been a great place to go and not be judged and get my workout in and I would recommend it to others. You honestly cannot beat the price of $10 or even the $20 a black card member pays. Best decision on my health I have made in a long time. :)

Weve been going to Planet Fitness for a few months now. Overall we are satisfied with the staff and equipment. Only real complaint is they claim to be judgement free and restrict certain attire (which I like). However, the staff needs to pay attention to the things they are showing on the televisions. Weve seen explicit love scenes on one visit and the other channels, like the Travel Channel is mostly men and women in tiny bathing suits. You cant workout dressed that way, but they make you look at it on t.v.. They should have the televisions on less provocative stations.

Im been a member since you open,and planning to go back due to 40pound weight gain.But I been walking a hour every day and I want to get me a free personal trainer .Because I have smoke or been a smoker .for little over a year and I never knew how hard is to quit on my own .i tried everythingAnd I stop smoking because you have to burn more fat by circuit or weights.I never get on the scale but when my clothes get tighter the I say I know I gain weight and I will not allow anything To stop me and get back in shape due to health problems

Been working out here for months and got told today my main gym is in Slidell and I only pay $10 a month so I cant work out here unless I pay 5.50 PER VISIT!! Couldnt even upgrade my card to black without going to the Slidell gym. So instead of realizing that I had no idea and letting me get my workout in and get it changed this evening, its $5.50 or theres the door. If youre looking for a gym that cares about customer service, this one isnt it.

Love this place! The atmosphere is great, theres always friendly people working there to help, and the classes are free and SO helpful! Stephanie is boss and will meet you on your level but not leave you there. Shell adapt your workout to your needs (bad knees, weight loss goal, race training, etc) and EXPLAINS the why behind the workout so youre learning. Its wonderful!

A great, no-frills place to workout with good amenities and very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a good, clean place to workout and maybe do a little tanning, this could be your place. If you get the black membership card, you can bring a free guest and use other locations when you travel. This is hard to beat! Did I mention that the staff is friendly?

I love this place! The employees are always so nice, ready and willing to help with any questions I may have. I feel very comfortable and welcomed here unlike most gyms in our area. The entire place is always very clean and someone is always cleaning something no matter what time I come in. Oh, and lets not forget the amazing price!

I love it! Besides the fact they dont reinforce some of the rules like phone conversations are for lobby only, kinda annoying to hear peoples phone convo while I try to watch Netflix as I do my elliptical workout but other than that its perfect. Its a great price, all the essential machines that you need to get you in shape.

Planet Fitness is a great gym I go there a lot to work out friendly Christmas service everybody so nice its a great place to go you can win them workout and when you see judgement-free Zone on the wall thats exactly what it means at Planet Fitness they dont judge you and I recommend it to anyone

Will never join this facility again. They are all about the money. They will not work with you no matter what the situation is! Just be ware if you fall on hard times they are not a family oriented type of company! NEVER AGAIN!

The bowls of candy at the front counter should be a tell. I walked around to check the place out, and the distinct lack of barbells made my decision for me. It may be a great place for someone else, but not for me.
