I have brought my child here for a couple of years now but last summer and this summer, our experience with the staff is not so good at all. When we went to attend the open gym, the staff was rude to me and my child. My child was so anxious on the trampoline so I stayed nearby, and then the staff told me off that parents should not be on any equipment. I explained to her that I was trying to get my child comfortable that Im only near her and will pick her up if she is not really comfortable. She still rudely answered me that its their policy. When my other son played with the ponies, he was told off that they should not mess them up. we were so annoyed and disappointed with the attitude of the staff there that we decided not to come back last summer. When we visited last week, we were told that my son wont get admitted on open gym because its only for preschool. My child is 8 years old and we didnt know that open gym is now just for preschool. My child was really looking forward to play and he almost cried when we were told that only preschool children will be accepted. The staff didnt even said anything and just sat there staring at us in a "dont care attitude". The gym must be filled with staff who care about children and has good manners and customer service and not rude or unpleasant. The front desk staff and the gym staff should be more pleasant and caring to the customers. We dont know what we are going to do with the remaining slots on our open gym account if they have rude staff and a policy that wont allow my child to play :(

WARNING-Staff members at this location are cold and shallow. This location does not welcome children are who not campers at Silver Star Gymnastics. Staff members shout at children at play for rules such as the closed beam area, that the children could not have known. I politely introduced myself and asked if a message needed to be passed to my children could the employee not shout at the children, but speak to the adult and chaperone. We were carefully monitoring the children, no one was on a cell phone or distracted. I saw no reason for the employees to be rude but they were. I also pointed out that there wasnt a sign posted indicating the beam area was closed. One of the employees sarcastically replied that signs could not be posted everywhere. One of my children accidentally knocked over a drink left on the floor. I sent my older son to the counter to ask for paper towels and the staff would not help him. Finally an Indian employee was decent enough to hand him paper towels. We could have easily left the spill but out of common courtesy we tried to clean up the mess. Rude remarks were made that older children would hurt children at the Silver Star Gymnastics camp and had to be watched carefully. Every child that is not a toddler is not disorderly in behavior. The remark was heard by my children and was very hurtful. I would not recommend any family visit this location.

So this is a review of a meet they ran. There were maybe 50 kids total, from only two teams. The meet took FIVE HOURS. It was so terrifyingly terrible. It is December, and honest to God the grass was growing more quickly then the meet was progressing. Some poor kid turned 13, had her Bat Mitzvah, did the chair dance, and got a gift card to Amazon because the meet took so long. Another kid grew a mustache. He was a spectator, but Im pretty sure when we came in he was still only 11. It was that terrible. I did the comps on how long it would take an ideal meet to be run. Figure four stations, 2 minutes per kid, max of 15 kids in any one station. Thats 30 minutes * 4. So I admit, perfect efficiency is impossible. Two perfect hours to three well run hours, thats professional. Three well run hours to four plodding hours, thats life. But four life hours to five death hours where the parents, the kids, and new babies that were born during the trauma are all crying uncle, thats just terrible. So yeah, one star. Do not ever go to a meet here if you can help it.

Poor business manners......... The staff there Are the WORST... and what makes it even bad is that it is on all levels, beginning with management!!!!I I made a payment for 3 items with cash, 3 weeks ahead of time, and they still went and charged my credit card. After charging the card the manager called to ask about the initial payment! First of all, they have no business holding on to credit card information, second they took my information (credit card number) from the Laser Tag section, which has nothing to do with the gym... Which is all confidential! When called about the situation, very rude, Please Please consider going somewhere else!

My daughter attends classes here. Her teacher is fine, but I wished they would challenge the older toddlers more. I love their Kids Night Out that occurs every first Saturday of the month. I always try to invite my friends to drop there kids off there when my daughter participates. They also have day, winter, spring, and summer camps. The most convenient thing ever! The day camps take place on those random days that students have off from school, but you still have to go to work. I take full advantage of there services. :-) Ill do another review after we host my daughters birthday party there.

Our camp has gone to Silver Stars several times and we have enjoyed every minute there. The staff is wonderful and attentive. They interact with our kids. The owner is very personable and it is just a great experience. Our kids have said this is one of the best places they have gone the whole summer. I also have had my son in their program and we had his birthday party there and he loves it. I love their toy shop as well. I cannot go in it without buying one of their unique toys. Silver Star has been a great additition to the Bowie area. Thanks for being an outlet for the kids in Bowie.

Not a good place to take classes for toddlers. My 20 month-old came and no one tried to include her help my husband feel welcome. The class was advertised as 18 months to three years but obviously really only for older kids. Instead of working with me to find a more appropriately aged class for her, I got the old repeat scripted answer that they will give me a credit. Their open gym is nice, guess thats what well do and take classes elsewhere!

ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectation! I hosted my sons 5th birthday here and they were awesome. The party was super affordable (compared to other facilities in the DMV area) The staff was AWESOME so accommodating. I didnt have to lift a finger they took care of me and my crazy guest. The facility was immaculate! I would recommend this to ANYONE! i cant stress enough how awesome this place is!

It was okay. Not much supervision for the summer program. My child was beat up in the corner by another child and none of the adults knew nor did they take any disciplinary actions. HORRIBLE!
