WARNING: Kabelly Dominican Hair SalonDid you ever wonder how they get your natural hair so silky straight with just a blow dryer? At Kabellys they add RELAXER to the shampoo and conditioner. I found out first hand. I had very healthy natural hair that came to my shoulder blades. A new Dominican salon opened by my house and because of the convenience I got my hair done there every single Friday for four months. The first month, everything seemed normal. Slowly I started realizing my hair was breaking off and it didnt appear as thick and healthy. So I stopped going. When I went back to my old stylist she kept asking if I had gotten a relaxer and I always said NO> But we could both see that when my ahir was wet it look straight. Just like relaxed hair. WHen natural I have a S curl pattern to my hair. Now my hair is straight. One of the other clients in the salon interrupted our discussion one day and asked me if I used to go to the Dominicans to get my ahir done and I explained about the four months I went to Kabellys. She explained that her sister worked as a shampoo girl at a dominican salon for a year and advised her that they put a LITTLE RELAXER in those no label jars of shampoo and conditioner. IT is very apparent to me now that my hair is RELAXED. If I could sue Kabellys I would.

ATTENTION TO THOSE WHO HAVE NATURAL HAIR....DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!!!! THEY ADD RELAXER TO THEIR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER (THE BOTTLE THAT HAS NO LABEL ON IT) AND USE IT ON YOUR HAIR WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. I HAVE BEEN NATURAL FOR ABOUT 9 YEARS. SINCE GOING NATURAL, MY HAIR HAS BEEN EXTREMELY HEALTHY (MY CURL PATTERN WAS A 3C AND MY HAIR REACHES DOWN MY BACK RIGHT AT MY MID SPINE). EVER SINCE MY FIRST AND LAST VISIT HERE, IVE WASHED/CONDITIONED MY HAIR SEVERAL TIMES AND MY HAIR TEXTURE HAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY, MY HAIR BREAKS IN CHUNKS, AND MY CURL PATTERN IS NO MORE....I ACTUALLY HAVE UN-RELAXED NEW GROWTH!!!!!! THANKS TO KABELLY DOMINICAN SALON I HAVE TO START THIS PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN.

I was overcharged and the style did not hold beyond the time it took to travel home. The stylist suggested that I detour from my normal routine, without telling me that it was an up-charge. I decided to change my style. I was charged $100 for a blow dry and up-do, ridiculous! When I asked why didnt the stylist inform me of these additional costs prior to the service and the response was she is new. There was no attempt to compromise. I will not return! I have had to re-pin my hair already, just minutes and again hours later. I wrapped it with a satin scarf and but am not hopeful for the morning after shower and slumber. Such a disappointment!

I first tried Kabelly Dominican Salon about a year ago. From the very first time Kabelly did my hair, I noticed it was MUCH straighter, silkier and shinier than other dominican salons I had visited. Im not big on color, but I also let Kabelly add color and a Keratin Treatment to my hair. I went to an event later that night, and received so MANY compliments from everyone! Lets just say Kabelly became my go-to stylist for all my hair needs! I love this place and would recommend to all my family and friends.

Ive been to Kabelly a couple of times and each time theyve done a great job. Ive only gotten blow outs there and they always have come out very nice. My hair is natural and has been for the past 3 years and Ive never had a problem with my hair reverting back to its natural curl pattern. I wouldnt be quick to accuse them of putting relaxer in their products. And theyre also quick.

I absolutely love! Love! Love it here!!. The shampoo ladies always do a great job and they are super efficient. Kabelly has always done my hair and she gets me in and out whenever I go. I can call her and say I just need this and she is always so helpful and gets it done!! Prices are average prices but affordable. I recommend this salon to ALL ages!! You wont be disappointed!!

Ive never had a bad experience, they are professional and provide excellent customer service. I have natural hair and I usually get a wash and set. Ive also had this salon to highlight my hair and put on extension, the stylists did a wonderful job.

IF YOU ARE NATURAL I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON. I BELIEVE THAT THEY DO PUT CHEMICALS IN THE SHAMPOO. I HAD 4C BEAUTIFUL HAIR AND MY CURL PATTERN IS NO LONGER HERE. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED A YEAR AND 4 MONTHS OF BEING NATURAL DOWN THE DRAIN.

Terrible Service Only One Worker Was Available. Over price they charge $65 for a wash and blow out which only cost $25-35 at a regular salon. Do not go there.
