So, my car broke down. We are fairly new to the area and did not have a mechanic, so we took a referral from USAA and their Roadside Assistance program on blind faith, and had our older model Ford Explorer towed to the Columbia AutoStream. It was right about closing time on a weekend, but they took my info, hooked me up with a loaner vehicle, and they promised to inspect my truck asap the next working day. And, they did just that. Of course, at that point, my car started right up for them as if nothing was ever wrong... and it laughed and laughed! Ha. Well, the folks at AutoStream called me and we discussed it. They didnt want me to get stranded again, so they decided to take it on a long test drive and (fortunately) the problems resurfaced so their technician could evaluate what was happening. We also discussed a few other issues Id been having with the truck, and since it was already with them, some things I wanted checked. They got to work. Long story short, they were in contact with me, a number of times, with information (in detail) about what was good, and was not good, regarding the items on our list of concerns, they fully explained their services and costs. They answered my questions completely. At all times they were friendly, very helpful, and extraordinarily professional. I would refer this business to others. I will use this business again. I had a routine oil change. I know we all make mistakes, but my oil cap was left off. I thought I was smelling gas the entire week. After a week I headed out of town. After driving for two hours the passenger with me realized the car was smoking when we stopped to get something to eat. Lifted the hood and oil was everywhere. I call the shop immediately and spoke with Eric. He instructed me to top off the oil, keep the receipt and bring the car back in for an engine clean. Positive outcome when I returned from my vacation I took the car back. Eric did exactly as he stated by reimbursing me and cleaning the engine and checked the oil. I will be canceling my appointment for a front end alignment. I cant afford another rookie mistake. I later was surprised by a phone call from Eric. He carefully talked to me about my review and offered options to regain my trust and business. After a lengthy discussion we came to an agreement. I took my car back on the schedule date for a wheel alignment. This appointment went fine. I was in and out within 45 minutes. I am confident that my car was service in an excellent and professional manner. I have changed my review to 4 stars and I will continue to do business with this business. I appreciate a company that appreciates my business and opinions.

I am so happy to hear that Erik Ferguson is back as Manager of this location. I had been using this location even prior to him coming on board and I have always had amazing service and if for some odd reason, something was not quite right with a repair, they made it right and very quickly. I had referred several people to get service here and a few months ago when Erik was not at this location one of my referrals was so upset that they repaired 3 different things before finally getting it right and charged her the full amount for all 3 repairs the 1st 2 or which did not need to be done. She even appealed to the head manager of all shops with little success. I had car issues yesterday and was in a panic as to where I would take my car to be serviced as this is the only shop I have used since living in Columbia and on my 2nd vehicle with them. We have 3 different vehicles in the household right now and have been lucky to have not needed any repairs recently.So I asked her if she had found anyplace and she told me the Erik was back!! I am so relived. It is bad enough to have car issues, but when you are dealing with people who are honest and trustworthy as Erik Ferguson has proven himself to be time and time again, it makes it a bit easier!

I visited them for a help needed with changing brake pads on my CLA250. I was suggested to change them asap by the dealer and I found Autostream by a neighbor welcome letter in my mail box. I checked the ratings before reaching out to them and Im flattered by their professionalism. I was given a ride back home telling that they will do the free evaluation of the situation and will let me know what exactly is going on with the braking system. After an hour or so, I got a call from the manager of the facility, Mr. Dave, that there seems to be a problem with the front left wheel which was worn down as against the other pads and would try to reach out the dealership on my behalf and enquire if there a chance of covered under warranty. That was the right call because, following that I visited the dealership to understand what actually was going on there. It appeared that they changed my pads 6 months back only and are pretty much within the warranty. Moreover, I wanted to understand why only the left wheel, which will hopefully be answered in my visit which is scheduled in the next week. Bottom line, though I did not get a chance to get to work with these awesome people, Ill be working with them from now on.

This place is PHENOMONAL!!! When I was putting my engine back together, my friend mixed up the coolant line and the fuel line so my engine was full of coolant and my radiator was full of fuel. I didnt know this at the time so I towed my car to British American Auto Care off of Berger Rd. Basically, they replaced the injector O-rings and let everything evaporate for 3 days. They charged my 800 dollars so all said and done it was a $1000 ordeal!!! I got my car back from them barely running, I LIMPED IT to AutoStream I even had to push it the rest of the way on Cradlerock. The hood wouldnt even open. I mentioned that and Zane, from British American said word for word: " Well it didnt open when you took it to us." My cable was just detached.....they didnt attach my hood latch, FOR 850 BUCKS!!! WTF I took it to AutoStream and $50 later they fixed the problem. It was the biggest most obvious vacuum line right in front of your face on the engine. The so-called "vw specialist" at BAAC didnt notice it. It was so obvious. So my car ran great after AutoStream. The staff is extremely polite and the mechanics are fantastic. They will definitely get my continued business. 10/10

After receiving such great customer service I had to write a review. Working in the customer service field myself I know what to expect. I found this place on yelp just looking for a state inspection, and they surpassed my expectations. My experience started when Eric answered the phone and helped me book and time and gave me minor directions to getting to the place. My Vehicle had a problem and failed the inspection and Chris (from the Ellicott City store who was helping out) made me aware of what was wrong. Justin helped me understand the problem and why. The Pricing i believe was very reasonable ( Im a college student) and the turn around time was good, they even gave me a Loaner car which when I tell people they are amazed. Eric, Justin, and Chris made me feel as if my car was the only car that they were working on and if I have any other problems.. hopefully not for the better :) I know I will be coming back here. Everyone at this location, heck even the cashier at the the gas station was amazing!
