This daycare has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is kept clean and well organized. Nice large playground. The new management is wonderful and has a very upbeat attitude. The center is run as they are one big family not just a daycare center. I am greeted everyday with a warm and welcoming smile by not just the management team but all the teachers as well. I know my child is challenged every day through the well developed and visible lesson plans. La Petite is about learning through play, everyday my child works on socialization, manners, academics, problem solving, cooperation etc. The list can go on but if you would walk in to the classroom they are engaged in structured activities where they are playing and learning while having fun. When I toured the school the Acting Director and AIM were very friendly and make a great team. They were there to answer and questions and concerns I had. I am looking to have another child in the near future and asked about the infant classroom. They just opened the new infant/toddler classroom. I am very pleased with my choice and love that in every classroom they have progress reports based on developmental milestones so you know right where your child should be and when. Wonderful place and they make me feel apart of their La Petite family.

I usually do not write reviews but i just couldnt let the good work Ms. Kim and her teachers have done so far go unnoticed. My 4 year old has been with La Petite since she was almost 3yrs and the difference has been very noticeable. For the first few months we realized she was able to identify some colors, shapes and was very excited about going to school. Shes kept this up till now and although she might cry some mornings because she’s tired and do not want to go to school, the mention of Ms. Kim and Ms. Charnetta ’s names just brings a big smile to her face and she comes running out of bed. We are very sad shes leaving because i had to take another job that will make it impossible for me to drive her off to Columbia and pick her back up. If you are looking for a good school or home (because they really do care about the children as if they were their own) and a very warm and friendly atmosphere for your child to grow up and also develop, do not look too far. La petite academy is the place to be and without a doubt I’ll do it all over again if I had to. The Manfords

The management team (Ms Kim, Ms Charnetta, Ms Carlie) and the staff members are excellent and are dedicated to creating a caring environment for the children. Every staff member that I have encountered at La Petite has been very kind and helpful. The staff members in Emmas toddler room (i.e. Ms Crystal, Ms Joan, Ms Elena, Ms Yuna, Ms Holly, and Ms Alexis) are excellent and it is very evident that they care very much about the work they do in caring for the children. An especially big thank you to her lead teachers Ms Crystal, Ms Joan, and Ms Elena for taking such great care of our daughter. They have really taken the time out to get to know our daughter in all aspects to make her transition and time spent at La Petite as nurturing as possible in order enhance proper growth and development. The lead teachers are very good at keeping me informed and involved with Emmas care which is very important as it gives me peace of mind as I return back to work.

My daughter attended La Petite for 4 years (and sometimes attends there when public school is out...which is often) and currently my son is enrolled. The staff and teachers work hard to give kids and the parents a positive experience from the infant program to the Pre-K class. I was hesitant about a daycare facility vs. home daycare for my kids especially in the infant stage. However, over the last 5 years, La Petite teachers have become family. I know my son is in a safe, fun, nurturing and educational environment. My daughter was more than prepared for Kindergarten. She is excelling in school. She was definitely ahead in her class. And my son will be going to the Pre-K 4 this Fall and I am confident he will also be prepared for Elementary school next year (both academically and socially).

We recently moved our 4-year-old to La-Petite Columbia from another center. As parents, we worried about how she would adjust to a new place with new teachers, friends, and routines. Turns out, we were worried for no reason at all, the transition was smooth and easy and she is happy to go to school each day. We love the organization and thoughtfulness from all of the staff that goes into her days. I am fully satisfied with La-petite Academy. The staff is very cooperative, friendly and welcoming.

Having worked in various child care settings myself, I have been very pleased with the care and and support my son received at La Petite. His teachers in the toddler and young 2s classes were dedicated and showed genuine concern for his well-being. Ms. Kim and Ms. Charnetta were involved in the classrooms each day, giving the center a very cohesive feeling. He looked forward to going to "school" to see his friends and teachers, and we will miss them all very much. Thank you, La Petite family!

Not happy with the quality of care at all. New Director has created a very high staff turnover plus because of the staffing problems my child was shuffled around from class to class on a daily and hourly basis. You never knew who taking care of your child. Food quality for the kids meals was also very low. This CORPORATE daycare facility was more interested in collecting your money than whats best fo the child. Overall very disappointing and Im glad I moved my child to another daycare.

Our son had good transition at La petite Columbia, MD. Ms Kimberly, the center director gave us good confidence that its going to be another home for him. After first interaction with her, we had no second thoughts to visit other child care centers. The services and training are truly exceptional and all the requests were kindly taken care. Special thanks to his class teachers Ms. Janelle and Ms. Monique who reported all the details in the daily report.

As a parent it is hard to find a place you trust enough to leave your children in their care. Weve been at La Petite for only a few months but love it. They have been great at finding space for my daughter for drop-in care. I LOVE the updates I get throughout the day about what they are doing.

My 4 year old and 2 year old have recently transitioned to La Petite from out of state. The staff has been excellent with both of my children. The entire center has made my children feel safe and happy at their new school. I am thankful I found La Petite and enrolled both of my children.

Teachers and directors are kind and nice in general, but a teacher in preschool is the worst one that I have ever met. That teacher has no patient and love at all. My daughter hates going to this school everyday. She is happy now since she was transferred to another daycare center.

Great center. My child loves it and she has learned a lot since being there as infant. The staff is great and eveyone seems to love kids, which is important. The payment process is also pretty easy. There is really great communication from the director and staff.
