I enjoyed working with Lynn but however the director, I felt like she didn’t want my son to be there due to him being artistic. Before enrolling my son, I gave a background on my son and the issue I had at the previous daycare and that I was currently working with Child Find. They were well informed and appeared they would be able to work with my son. Every week they had concerns. In the middle of the week (Wednesday) the director stated that my son was becoming a handful and would I have someone to care for him if Friday was his last day. I was taken back by this due to one telling me in the middle of the week, and two I work every day. How insensitive can you be? I am a director at my place of employment, and would not ever give someone that type of last minute notice. I felt like he was being rushed out. Very unprofessional. I let it rolled off hoping that maybe she’s not use to being in the position or working with parents, etc who knows or maybe like most think, due to me appearing younger than my actual age, it was acceptable. However, I did speak with Lynn about my concerns that Friday and she stated that she would give more time to find another facility for him. My mother went to speak with Lynn and I didn’t even mention or tell her about the director and she complained to me about her attitude and the bad vibe she felt. The last week, the director appeared to be bothered that my son was still attending the facility. I decided to not even wait and just removed him immediately. As a parent it did not feel good to feel like your child did not want to be wanted. Thank goodness my job was understanding towards the situation and understood the stress that I was now having. I was able to have the rest of the week off to find a suitable daycare for him. My friend told me about Dickeyville Learning Center. She told me it would be a good fit for my son. My son has been there since the end of the March and it has been wonderful! He loves it. The staff treats my son like he’s like everyone else. He fits in so well with the other children. He travels out in the community, field trips, etc. They also have an aide who is very attentive to my son and most of all the staff and directors there have EXPERIENCE with children that requires special needs/accommodation. As a parent it feels good to know that you child are in good hands and among caregivers who treats them equally regardless if they have a disability or require special attention. There are also other disabled children at the facility. I would hand downs recommend this place to any parent who have children with development delays, intellectual, artistic, adhd, etc and it’s far cheaper esp to those who’s paying out of pocket. Unfortunately, my son will going to a special program and will no longer be attending the center after July but it was the best thing that could happen. Overall I do not recommend this center for children who have disabilities or requires special attention/accommodations.

This is an AWESOME daycare!! The business owner is a retired Baltimore County Police officer and takes proud in providing a safe environment and quality child care! The center fosters an atmosphere of success, and takes pride in their reputation of an "education first" motto. My child started the center at age 2, and was transferred out of the 2 year old classroom and into the 3 year old classroom by the time he was 2 1/2 because of how well he was advancing in the classroom. He was potty-trained within 3 weeks of being in the 3 year old classroom. The teachers provide one-on-one training with the children and homework assignments as reinforcements. The teachers have been with the center for years and truly love to teach and create healthy fun environments for the children. The center is a part of the Maryland State Healthy food program and prepares healthy breakfast and lunches daily. I have been very pleased with the childcare provided and appreciate the friendly learning environment.

As a new mom, I was very reluctant about putting my 3-month year old in daycare (especially after hearing some bad stories from other new mommies) but I have had a wonderful experience here and know my daughter is in excellent care. This is a family run facility and the staff here are all very professional but it feels more like a "home away from home" for my daughter. It doesnt have the fancy bells & whistles that some of the other places had, but I am rest assured that my daughter is being loved and well-cared for the staff there. The owner is very involved with both her staff and the parents. She was a police officer of 30 years..so you know she runs a tight ship. Im so glad I chose this daycare for my baby!

This is an excellent daycare, it also is a learning center when my daughter went there she did not know how to identify her ABC or numbers and she was 2 and was going to a home day care. After two weeks she knew them well. Now she knows how to add, subtract, write her own name and so much more. You will not be disappointed when you child goes to this daycare. The teachers are great and the staff as well. Great Job Ms. Lynn. p.s if you can get your child in with Ms. Shantee you would be extremely happy the best teachers there by far.

I love this day care for my son he started going when he was 6 months and he will be 1 in July and I have no regrets. I love his teachers and the whole daycare they take a lot of pride in there job. I especially love this daycare because, my son has eczema and needs special attention such as being moisturized often and, stopped from scratching himself. they are excellent with giving him that extra attention he needs and he is very happy there I can tell by the way he smiles when he sees Ms.Kim and Ms. Kendra they are AMAZING !
