Ive never worked with a recruiting agency before, but this experience was terrible. First off, I had to wait close to an hour before Barb was able to see me. I also didnt know, at first, that I wasnt interviewing to work for them. They didnt make that clear in their initial email to me. After waiting for almost an hour, I sat down with Barb for almost another hour talking about my experience and what I was looking for. She then asked what my desired salary was (my last job was part time and I was working $13/hour, which was very hard to live off of), so I told her I was hoping to make either 35,000/year or $18 an hour. She looked at me like I was crazy and said there was no way I could make that much with my experience. Now, I have my bachelors from a top university in California, I have worked several jobs throughout college and thought I gained decent experience in my most recent job. I thought $35k starting out would be reasonable for a recent grad! But Im not a professional, so I said okay fine, Ill take whatever interviews you can throw my way. She the told me she had a job that sounded perfect for me which was basically being a receptionist at some sports store making like $15/hour. While she was trying to set me up with that interview, she told me to keep her updated on any other interviews I may have in the meantime. I told her about any interviews I had and how I felt they went and she always responded. Shortly after, I got two offers both as a leasing consultant and an administrative assistant for over my desired salary. When I told Barb about them, she didnt even have the decency to respond. She was probably so embarrassed for doubting my abilities and making me feel like I wasnt worth having a decent paying job.

This agency used to have temp work but now they hardly have anything. I also used them to try to find a permanent job. They sent me on one interview to a small company that seemed very unprofessional and disorganized; the interviewer also was not that nice, and she was dressed sloppy. I did not get the job (thank God). Nancy Adams then tried to denegrate my 20+ years of administrative office experience to justify the fact that I did not get the job, instead of making positive suggestions. In fact she said I wasnt employable !!! I tried another agency that sent me on two interviews. I got the second job I interviewed for at a higher salary than I even expected. I think what helped is that after the 1st interview the new agency gave me feedback from the client so that I could interview better for the next one. They were actually building me up instead of tearing me down. Its a good thing I didnt let the negativity from Nancy Adams hurt my confidence; I realized they were blaming me for their lack of good job leads.

Nancy Adams was wonderful helping me find a new position. I contacted them in reference to a posted job they were connected to and they got back to me very quickly in reference to my resume. They liked the resume but the job I had applied for was already filled so I came in for an interview, met with their representatives and set up my job preferences. This was in January. I was already employed and being very picky about what jobs I was willing to interview for. Nancy Adams gave me excellent tips on my resume, interviewing skills, and dress code habits. Now Im in day three of my new position and I love it. Its engaging, pays just what I had hoped for, and provides me with the room to advance should they and I both decide theyd like me to become a permanent employee. So grateful to the staff at Nancy Adams for all their assistance. Never by shy if you have questions or issues, these ladies are on top of their game. Thank you so much to Nancy Adams!

I have had nothing but a wonderful, positive experience with this agency. They scheduled me multiple interviews and even at times offered me temp jobs that would have been starting within the week. Theyve currently placed me with a company that is helpful, appreciates me, and finally pays me what I deserve without working the constant man hours that I was. For the first time in years, Im able to go home and spend time with my young son, eat dinner, and go to bed at a normal time. I am beyond gracious and thankful to Barb, Jenni, and Kate for their efforts to truly help me improve my life and for always being so kind and caring.
