Seeing as the previous reviews for Kindercare-Westview are outdated I thought I would provide a current review. I have a 4 yr old and 1 ½ yr old who both attend Kindercare full-time. We used in-home daycares previously but after some concerns with in-home daycares we decided to try a ‘commercial’ daycare facility. We have been attending Kindercare-Westview since January 2017. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kindercare-Westview. The teachers are attentive, caring, kind, patient and genuine. My 4-year-old is learning so much – she blows me away daily with what she is learning at Kindercare, and it is a great way to prep for kindergarten. My 1 ½ year old’s vocabulary exploded once she was moved from the infant to the toddler classroom. While I was worried about my kids being separated into different classrooms due to age I now see it is beneficial. Being in separate classes allows them to socialize with kids their own age and learn what is appropriate for their age group. At least my kids get to see each other through the fence outside during recess (there are two playgrounds which are separated by a fence – one for little kids and one for big kids). If there is ever an incident, such as a bump on the head or a scuffle over a toy, the teachers call me to let me know what happened and how they remedied the situation even if it is just some extra TLC. I don’t feel like I have to worry about my kids while I am at work anymore. My kids are happy when I drop them off and happy when I pick them up. Parents get a weekly bulletin which details what each class did the past week and what the menu is for the week. I get a report daily for my 1 ½ yr old with what and how much she ate, when and for how long she napped, when her diapers were changed and what kind of diapers they were and what she did for the day. If there is any changes to the weekly schedule it is communicated via email. While the tuition may hit the pocket a bit harder than in-home daycare it is well worth the extra money.

My daughter spent the first two years of her life at home with her grandfather. Needless to say, she was very shy and introverted when started at KinderCare. She is now a chatty four year old that I have to remind not to run in the hall because she races to her classroom in the morning. Though she still has her moments of not wanting me to leave, she has become much more outgoing and is always talking about her friends at home. She likes to check the school calendar before she goes to bed and gets excited about what is happening the next day. She has developed a joy of cooking through the cooking classes and loves to help at home. She has recently become a member of the phonics class. She is constantly asking me what words start with which letters and how many words I can think of that start with a certain letter. She is left handed and I was concerned about her writing. It is no longer a worry because her writing has improved significantly. KinderCare has not only helped her blossom but it has helped her father and I too. Not only do we feel completely comfortable where she spends her time every day but we are getting a lot out of the program as well. Through KinderCare’s testing and parent/teacher conferences, we have learned what areas our daughter has excelled in as well as where she needs to improve. We feel it is important to partner with her teachers in order to insure that she is progressing in the way she should be. We take the suggestions given to us, use them at home and continue to see improvement in her social interaction as well as intellectual development each year. We are so happy to have found the Westview KinderCare and can’t wait to see what is to come in the future.

The teachers and staff at westview kindercare are the best. I moved my 2 children to that center 3 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done. At the time my now 7 year old was going into pre-k and went into the class not knowing very much. He now is going into 2nd grade and is thriving. He went into kindergarten reading and writing on a higher level thanks to the program and phonics. My youngest is now starting pre-k this year and Im excited that he is going to be with the same teachers as my oldest. We recently moved to Washington county but are still transporting him there. We also have both boys enrolled with them for the summer as I one know they are going to be safe but 2 are going to have fun. Also need to recognize the staff for their attentiveness to the well being of the children. Just recently like as in this pass Tuesday, my oldest got sick and immediately started holding his lower right side. When the director called me they informed me that a couple of the staff was under the impression that it might be his appendix. They were right 24 hours after they called and told us we were at Hopkins having his appendix removed. Once again this center has the best teachers and staff and its going to be very hard for my family to say goodbye to them after this year. They have defiantly become part of the family.

My opinions are that: They have terrible communication with parents. They rarely if ever talk to us about our child or his development and the teacher doesnt communicate anything unless someone gets hurts and even then it feels like they are lying. Submitted a new contact form with an updated email address and they still send email to the previous address. Just shows they dont pay attention to details. Do you want them calling the wrong number in an emergency? Director Jess has a fake personality and only cares about your money, not your child. There is a high turnover of teachers, so, either its not a good place to work or Director Jess has a habit of hiring unqualified people. I know she is a liar because Ive heard her tell information that I know isnt true to parents to get them to enroll their child.

My son has been attending KinderCare Westview for about a year and a half and he has excelled in academics and socialization. His teachers, Angie and Cryssye have been my sons teachers and they absolutely adore him and all of the kids. They are attentive, loving and truly care about children and their education. Brittany, the center director is wonderful and has maintained an open door policy whenever I have feedback to offer or want to chat about my sons progress. My son is getting ready to enter Kindergarten and because of the exceptional experience he has had at KinderCare Westview, he is ready for the big school! Thank you KinderCare Westview staff for all that you do for the love of children!

My husband and I are so incredibly happy with our experience at the Westview Kindercare. Our son started at this daycare when he was 3 months old and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The staff are wonderful and I knew right away that my son was in great hands. His infant teachers are caring and communicative, and I can tell how much they love my child. I look forward to dropping him off everyday and chatting with his teachers. It feels great to get progress notes and comments, and I can see how much they work with him everyday to ensure hes hitting all of his milestones. I would recommend this center to anyone living in the area. Our family could not be any happier!
