Sandra, the owner of Goddard School in Pasadena is a wonderful human being. She is someone who you can look at and tell she truly, genuinely cares about the children under her care and her staff. At least 98% of the time I picked up my daughter, Sandra was on site at the facility and would greet me with a smiling face and say hello to our daughter. Stephanie, the Director, is a sweetheart. She is so friendly and always made sure I was in the loop of Goddard School activities and events. She and Marley (Assist. Director) were very helpful when we enrolled in the school, assisting me with paperwork and getting everything set up, and welcoming my daughter and I to stop in prior to her start date to get acquainted. When my daughter missed school for a week due to illness, they called to check on her and see how she was feeling. Our daughter was only in the two infant rooms while at Goddard School in Pasadena, so I can only speak to the teachers in those classrooms, but based on them, I would imagine that all the teachers throughout the school are excellent. Ms. Jess and Ms. Amber in the Baby Bunnies classroom are fantastic. Their two different personalities work perfectly in the classroom together. Ms. Jess is very organized and has great, structured lesson plans for even the smallest babies. Ms. Amber is a very loving teacher. Their two different personalities work perfectly in the classroom together. My daughter felt so comfortable with her and would reach her arms out to go to her when my husband dropped her off each morning. Both infant teachers were flexible with my daughters ever-changing schedule and worked with her on the challenges of taking a bottle and sleeping in a crib, allowing for some flexibility in this so my daughter’s experience was a positive one. After a few months, my daughter transitioned into the next classroom with Ms. Amanda and Ms. Nicole. Both of these teachers are wonderful also. They got my daughter up and walking with assistance, fully transitioned her to crib sleeping and worked on eating solids at the table – all accomplished in just one month! Again, very creative lesson plans and art projects that were seasonally and age-appropriate. Ms. Jess S. was a floater and we got to see her in both of the rooms that my daughter was in. She is another fantastic teacher and just loves all of the students. She is very helpful and gave good feedback about my daughters day and always offered to change her into a clean diaper for our ride home. In both classrooms, I received lots of pictures of my daughter going about her daily routine throughout the day. This was helpful as I am a first-time Mom and returning to work was a bit intimidating knowing I would be leaving her with “strangers”. However, after just a few days, the staff at Goddard School in Pasadena felt more like family than strangers. Also, some of the pictures taken directly applied to the lesson plan for the week and the teacher tagged those pictures as such on the daily report. Other positives: my daughter never had a diaper rash from sitting in a diaper too long, and always came home in a clean outfit (never wet or covered in food). Also, when I would pick my daughter up, her used bottles/dishes/bibs/etc. would be all ready for me and waiting in her bag, so I did not have to spend a lot of time going around collecting our belongings each evening. Unfortunately, we left the Goddard School in Pasadena after 4 short months, because a spot we had been wait listed for in another Goddard facility that was closer to home opened up. (The Pasadena location was 20+ minutes from our house and not on the path of either one of my husband or my work commutes). It was a difficult decision that I battled with, but ultimately made the decision to enroll at the facility that is less than 2 miles from my residence.

My daughter has attended the Goddard school for the past 2 yrs and I have been amazed at how much she has grown and excelled! Everyday when I drop her off l receive nothing but smiles and positivity from all of the staff, showing that they truly love what they do and thats its more then just a job. When my daughter 1st began going to Goddard, she had a bit of seperation anxiety (admittedly, i prob did too) but her teachers made sure it didnt last very long. After the 1st week, I would drop her off and instead of clinging to me, she would kiss me goodbye and run to give her teacher a hug. I love that they send daily pics, videos and notes that update me throughout the day on what my child is learning. It always puts a smile on my face when I get daily pics of my daughter playing with her friends and smiling from ear to ear. Aside from the fun aspect, my daughter is above her level in every area. She can count in both English and Spanish, write her name and even read a handful of words, all at 3 yrs old! Trust me when I say that if you want a positive learning environment where your child can learn & grow, all while having fun doing it, Goddard is the place to send them! Thank you Sandra (owner) & staff for all you have done for our family but most of all, thanks for the piece of mind I have daily knowing that my daughter is in a safe, fun learning environment :-)

We just left The Goddard School in Pasadena after a year due to moving out of state. The whole crew was amazing and I wish I could transport them all to our new location! Our son worked his way through the two infant rooms into toddlers. Transitions to new rooms were always done thoughtfully, carefully and when he was ready. The staff worked hard to individualize his daily program and help him work on the developmental milestones he needed. All of the staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and caring. Many of the teachers knew my son by name even though he wasnt in their class. The front office staff is great and always cheerful, even at 6:30am! The teachers in his classrooms felt like family as it was clear they cared about my son. They were so helpful in getting him to eat solid food, getting his nap schedules down, and building his social skills, among other things. I would strongly recommend The Goddard School in Pasadena to anyone in the area as we will most definitely miss them at our new home!!

As a parent of two children who attend this daycare facility, I recommend The Goddard School of Pasadena. Ken and Sandra Julian have been in charge now for a little under a year and they have made a lot of positive changes. The school is now up-to-date on current Goddard corporate standards and they hold their staff accountable for their performance and behavior. They are not afraid to discipline the staff if they are under-performing/breaking Goddard rules and they are seeking out ways to reward those who go above and beyond. I also appreciate the fact that they are actually implementing formal curriculum programs into the school...another first! In addition, the Julians have gone out of their way to provide special accommodations for my child with severe food allergies, thus ensuring her safety while she learns. This gives me great peace of mind when leaving her in their care every day. Overall, my kids are happy and well taken care of at this school. What more could you ask for?
