After watching the broadcast and standing on line for over 45 minutes. The best part of the food was the smell of the food during my ride home. And kudos to the very pleasant young lady who was taking the orders and apparently doing everything else that needed to be done outside of the kitchen. I had my heart set on some good tasting Soul Food and boy was I disappointed. I ordered the smothered pork chops with mac and greens. The Greens were good. I wasnt crazy about the style of the mac and cheese but it was doable. The reason I disliked the food so much was because the pork chop was fried and basically covered in some sort of gravy. The chop was fried way too hard. It was not marinated in what I know as gravy giving it that authentic smothered taste. The news gave the place a thumbs up but what they tasted obviously was not what I paid for. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good old fashioned Soul Food Meal.

Sorry guys, I just wasnt that impressed. To say the least I was disappointed. Ive been to lots of Soulfood places and this didnt even touch some of the little ones. The mac and cheese taste like it had cream cheese in it. The sweet potatoes were just that. No cinnamon, no nutmeg, no brown sugar, no vanilla or even orange flavor. Just plain ole sweet potatoes. The pork chops were too thin and grissley. I thought it was just me, but the person who recommed it did so based on the pics on the web. Once visited however she had the same opinion. The greens taste like vinegar was used but the turkey wings were ok. Nonetheless I wish them all the best. We will not be returning.Wasnt worth the money.

Came here expecting the food to be good from several of the reviews.I had ordered the crab fries and smothered pork chops. Let me tell you the food and presentation look really good but once I tasted the food it was horrible. The crab fries taste like they dumped the whole container of old bay seasoning on them and my smothered pork chops were so salty I had to throw the entire tray of food in the trash. The Mac n cheese taste like they added cream cheese or something in it to make it creamy and that too was horrible. I tasted better soul food and I can say I wont be returning and it definitely wasnt worth the hype or the price.

Sometimes they close without notice. Their website provides their open hours, but when I showed up on a Saturday two weeks ago, they were closed. There was no post on social media and no voicemail when I called the number. Ever since that day I call on random days to see if they are open before I make the drive and I dont get an answer. They havent updated social media since they were closed on the 2nd. I really love their food but I think they should do better by following their hours or at least letting people know each time they will be closed

I have been to this restaurant many times and my experience has always been exceptional. The owner even comes out and greets the customers at times. The food as always been fresh, tasty and affordable. I have never been a Mac and cheese lover but I love the Mac and cheese. The owner is a cutie too and that helps. Much continued success!!! Awesome restaurant.

Ive been here 3 times and each time the restaurant was emmaculate. The lady at the front desk was very polite and patient. They have such a variety of choices that it took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted. The food was fresh and delicious and I didnt have to wait long for my order. I definitely recommend. You wont be disappointed.

Pretty decent, but the operating hours seem to fluctuate. Also, I had a pretty hard time calling in to place an order. Could be coincidence, but ever time I called they were closed for an event or an equipment failure. The food IS good, but a bit hard to get if youre not there in person to place the order.

Good food, but the customer service was less than "delightful." Woman at the front was very short and not too pleasant. The turkey wings I ordered were very good but customer service is important to me. 5 stars if they were more pleasant.

The food was delicious. The presentation was enticing and the restaurant had some nice artwork painted on the walls. I will definitely be a return customer. We had the crab fries, steak and crab cake dinners. Yum!
