Although everyone here was really nice, I was not impressed. I heard from a friend about great deals that they were having on hair straightening. I figured $65 was too good to be true! I went in for a consultation to find out more about it before doing anything. I point blank asked if it was a condititioning or if it was straightening, I was told the only difference between the Keratin straightening and this one was that this was all natural and even better for your hair. So, I made an appointment. I went back and (after waiting 15 minutes from when my appointment should have been) was sat down to get my hair washed. I was not offered another to cover with and I ended up with water down my front and back of my shirt. I complained and all I got was a short "sorry". Once it was all done and I was in the chair to get my hair dryed and straightened, I was told by the same hair dresser whom I had had my consultation with that, "to remember that this is a condititioning treatment, youll still have to straighten your hair most days". I looked at her and told her I had asked her that 2 days before and she said "no I wouldnt have said that". She kept telling me to cover my ears because she was afraid shed burn me with the hot iron. She didnt listen to me when I said I wanted it curled straight and not with a flip at the end. Once it was all said and done, I left. I went in on a Thursday and didnt wash my hair for 48 hours (I was told I could wash it the next day but had read all other straightenings that I couldnt for a few days). I almost cried when I got out of the shower! My hair looked exactly like it did whenever I took a shower before! If it did anything, it got rid of the frizz a little bi! I went back in the next day on my lunch break and all I got was "everyones hair reacts differently to it", no help or anything even after I explained everything to them! I had to spend $65 for nothing even after I point blank asked a question that would have answered any questions I had. I will not go back again!

i found a lot of really great reviews online for this salon, and the few bad ones i came upon seemed almost too horrible to be true, like the person just had a really rare unfortunate experience, or it was written so outrageously rudely that it stuck out as someone who obviously had some personal beef with the salon or people there. but i was just interested in finding a good stylist to do my color and since the majority of reviews seemed to praise the place, and had pretty similar things to say, i decided to check it out for myself. i booked an appointment with marissa, and after a short consultation, she seemed pretty confident about what to do with my color. Shes very friendly and immediately asked me if i wanted some coffee, tea, or cookies. the salon is really spacious and "open" feeling, and there were several other stylists there working on clients, so it had an overall positive, energetic, friendly feeling. There were also gorgeous flower arrangements, which later i found out marissa actually does herself. Im usually very shy when forced to interact with new people, but marissa made my time there very enjoyable and she was very easy to get along with. she seemed like she had a lot of experience, and that also help calm my worries. I love how my highlights and color turned out. She really knows how to work with several colors and make it look natural. I couldnt be happier with the outcome. i defiantly will come back. i had a great time there, the prices werent bad, the people were super nice, and the service was fantastic. im happy to side with all the positive reviews about this place, it defiantly lived up to them!

Marisa is such a great stylist. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and makes sure that you are happy from the beginning to the finished product. I have had my hair colored by her twice now and both times have achieved two different looks very successfully. The first time I was unsure of what I was specifically looking for so we talked and decided on something that fit the bill based on photographs while also ensuring it would be flattering for my skin color/with my naturally dark roots. The second time I wanted a specific look and she found a color that is a perfect compromise between the look I sought to achieve and one that works best for me individually. Its a pleasure to be at Touché! :)

Ive been going to Marisa for 10 years for cut and color, all the while living near Acton. We moved to the Cape this summer, and Im happy to say that, here it is October, and I am driving the 2 hours each way to continue my monthly appointments with Marisa because she does such a fantastic job. And its not just the quality of the cut and color. Its the conversation that ranges from the hilarious to the serious (often bringing in clients sitting nearby), and the ambiance, with music, Degas-like murals, and fresh flower arrangements from Marisas own garden. I would say I value the quality of the experience almost as much as the quality of Marisas work.

What I love about the salon is that Marissa clearly has a passion for her craft. The space is gorgeous with an artsy flair. Youre offered a cup of coffee or tea as soon as you sit down, served with a snack like crackers and cheese or a gourmet cookie. But the highlight is Marissa herself, who seems to get excited about every new style and/or color she creates. Shes always busy honing her skills and learning the latest trends and techniques. The price isnt cheap, but you do get what you pay for!

I cant not describe with words how wonderful Eileen is. It was my first time going to this salon today and it was amazing. She took the time to understand my concerns and what I was looking for my new haircut. My hair had been chemically damaged and was breaking. She exceed all my expectations. I love my haircut, and the treatment. This is a 5 start salon. I usually dont write reviews, but I am so happy that I had to. I also highly recommended her, and I will became a regular there.

Marissa is an artist. She has been cutting my hair for many years and I would not think of going to anyone else. Marissa listens to me and understands my personality and style and can cut and style my hair in a way that shows my own individual style. I leave happy every time.Yesterday she suggested red highlights. I trusted her to make me look my best and I am glad I did because the color is superb. It looks natural, new, fantastic! I feel great.

I am so happy I chose Marissa to fix my color. Ive got dark mahogany hair and after couple touch ups it become almost black and fried on ends. I brought pictures with color I wanted and Marissa did FANTASTIC job - excellent color with just perfect highlights: exactly as I asked. She took time to discuss the process, checked pictures 7 times and ask questions. Thank you Marissa for your great job!
