I am very dissatisfied with the service , I am receiving at this time. I brought my 99 chevy Tahoe on the 12914 indicating that I had no reverse gear. I drove from Boston to this shop , spoke to Manager Luke , He indicated he can check this system out at no charge. I was informed later that day that the transmission needs to be rebuild and the cost will be approximately 2,100 and if I agree they can pull the transmission down that day. Nothing was broken or burned. The transmission was not pulled down that day as indicated by Manager Luke. I need to keep on calling for an update on the status on the transmission . on Wednesday or Thursday , I was informed that the Total cost to rebuild this transmission is now going to be $2,554.24 including taxes. At this point I cannot turned back , I informed luke to go ahead an rebuild the transmission. I informed Luke that I need my Truck , He assured me that my transmission is been worked on and they would have it back either Saturday or Monday for the latest. I called in Today 121514 for an update on the status of My Transmission and I was informed they are still working on this Transmission and they should have the transmission back either Tuesday or Wednesday of This week .. I been with out my vehicle for almost 7 days now. At this point , I dont have an exact ETA on when AAmco will have my Transmission rebuild. My Friends indicated to me not to take my vehicle to AAmco to look at the Transmission. I indicated to my friends , I had two transmission rebuild by AAMCO a few years back , in Norwood. and their service is excellent , I now regret taking my vehicle to AAMCO to fix I am very dissatisfied with the service , I have received so far. I hope that AAMCO stand behind the quality of the Transmission they rebuild , for the amount of money AAMCO is charging me for this Transmission. This Transmission better be perfect in all aspects / quality. AAMCO has my cell number and can reach me at any time. I have informed Manager Luke to call me early in the morning 121614 - with an update on my Transmission. No more games by AAMCO. I need my vehicle .

Beware fraud! The story started about two weeks ago when my car broke down nearby from that place. A manager told me that they will do a free diagnostic to figure out what is wrong with my car and will call me later. Next day he called and told that the car requires full transmission rebuild, when I asked about price he told that in best case it will be around 2500$ in worst case around 3500$. I asked a few time to confirm that the price will not be more than 3500$, he told that It will be about 3500$ in worst case. After a week when I called to check what is with my car the manager told that they are still working on it but price will be around 5700$ now! Since It was too much (a new transmission costs around this price) I asked them to give the car back, the manager told me that they can do it but I have to pay around 1000$. After some time they agreed to do it for 4700$ and since I didnt want to pay 1000$ for nothing, I asked them to proceed for 4700$ Today their owner called me and told that they actually cant fix the transmission, they can only replace it to used one if I find, buy and ship it. Without any warranty. So they basically cant fix it and I cant get my car back without payment of 1000$ for nothing.

stay away from this place as they burned up my starter motor in my truck not knowing i have antitheft alarm on vehicle , according to my data log that i have in my truck they tried to start my truck 56 times with not succesfully turning over my engine , it really doesnt take rocket science to re set the alarm , but neverless they stated to me that the starter motor was not functioning at the time they recieved vehicle i dont think so , it says quite clearly on my data logger they attempted 56 times to start vehicle , i had to go to a junkyard and replaced my starter in the parking lot , reset the alarm and guess what it started, considering i already told them what they need to fix and they would not have had to have the vehicle running to determine what the problem is , short story short , i did the job myself in the freaking cold for the price of 35.00 . a outer pinion bearing , had to borrow a tool to do it but my goodness this shop is shady ,

They deserve no stars, Please dont bring your car there, worst service, the owner is so rude and crooked, I brought my car there because my engine light was on and the RPM was going past 3000 and the car was only going 20 mph ,so they told me $850 to get it fixed, and 3 days later they called me to to get my car but the cost went up to $1100, and then I paid and got the car, 3 days later the car was doing the same thing again. I called the manager he said to bring it in and Ill get my car back before 5pm, they never called me back and on the third day I called around 11am the rude and disrespectful owner told me that when they fixed it the first time (which they didnt) they had broken something that if I keep asking for an explanation he will charge me again ( for something that shouldve been done right the first time), over all bad experience dont fix your car here these people are very dishonest.

Great Experience. After being swindled by two other mechanics, I brought my truck to Aamco because every time I brought my car to my last mechanic there was always something else that needed to be worked on. I brought my car to Aamco to have it checked over and to see if this guy was just trying to get over on me. The new manager Chris brought me in and showed me exactly what was happening with the car visually, what was repaired/replace (attempted anyways) and what was jimmied together improperly. It was great to have someone take the time out to go over things with you instead of just talking at you. Turns out that what the last mechanic said I needed wasn’t necessary at all but the work he supposedly had done was not even close to being touched. Thanks Chris, you do a great job. You and your team are Awesome!

So incredibly disappointed in this place!!! I went back there because they did such a great job on BOTH our transmissions and we worked with a temporary manager from Texas (who is no longer there) who explained everything and gave me options.....now there is a new manager who not only did not call to tell me that my vehicle was ready and did not acknowledge another issue I asked them to look at, he then did not tell me about the other issues they found while looking at my vehicle so when I drove away it was still making the noise I originally went in there for!!!! He told me he didnt tell me because its not affecting my car at the moment......Stick to what you know, transmissions and nothing else! Youve lost 2 good customers!!!
