Mathew and his team do a fantastic job every time. My wife and I have used Castle Complements for both interior and exterior work several times over the years, and the level of quality and professionalism is unmatched. At the heart of it all, Mat is a painter, and he is without a doubt the best one around. He brings craftsmanship and understanding of latest trends in the industry, using the right paint for the job depending on the base material being painted, and working with you to help define the job especially when there are options, He does exactly what he says he will, when he says he will, and does it at a fair price. Mat works with you up front on what colors will work, and has an eye for what works in terms of room design. He has also in a couple of cases gotten some historically problematic areas painted (e.g., a basement bathroom ceiling had always seemed to stain or peel no matter what we or other painters did) painted and still looking as good as new several years later because Mat took the time to properly prep and then use the right paint for the specific job. But Mat goes way beyond just being a painter in many ways. From the beginning of the quoting process right through to follow-up after the job, Mat is responsive and accessible. He answers emails or calls within a day, he communicates status and uses technology so you can get electronic updates, pictures of the work in progress (for those of us who work all day) if you wish. He hires courteous gentlemen who show up in clean uniforms every day, on time first thing in the morning, and are meticulous about cleanup on a daily basis and at end-of-job. All work they have ever done on our home has been done with an intense attention to detail, including superb carpentry and repair work when needed. We had exterior areas that two other painters in the past had simply ignored and painted over; thats not Mats style and he made sure to repair it all so that it is better than ever. Lets face it, the barrier to entry for starting a house painting business can be relatively low - just grab some brushes and tarps and a couple of ladders and throw them in a van and start taking jobs. And you can hire one of those guys and they may even do a half decent job that looks ok for a couple of years. But if you want a real professional, someone who has made this his career, who has invested in the science and art of painting, who uses the latest equipment, who keeps your property clean and safe while doing the work, who is honest and will give you a fair price, and who leaves you with a job that causes visitors to your home to actually comment out loud on how beautiful the work is, then you need to call Mat Richards and his crew at Castle Complements. You and your home will be glad you did.
