I wish I read the above reviews before I spent $1300.00 on tires. Buying the tires was easy but everything that happened after was painful as of this post I am still dealing with Sears Customer Service and the store manager. When i purchased the tires I paid for an alignment when the car was "completed" there was no alignment done. My wife was told that it did not need one with no results of the "test" that was done. When the technician came in to let her know the car was ready he pointed at her and just said "your car is ready". She was not addresses by name! On her ride back to work the TPMS sensor indicator came on. Now keep in mind that prior to the install of the new tires we never had issues with the sensors, I even paid extra to have the stems "rebuilt".I proceeded to contact the service manager who assured me that the issue would be taken care of if my wife brought the car back in, so she did. The service technician who was working told her that 3 of the 4 sensors may have been damaged. He also said that she must take it to the dealership to have them verify that they are damaged and to provide proof of the damage. If the dealership can prove that they are damaged then they can replace them. This would make it 3 trips to Sears and one trip to our dealership! I will never spend a dime at Sears again. UPDATE- Spoke to another manager today who said he would replace the TPMS sensors today, so we will be dropping the car off AGAIN today, another two hours we will never get back. Stay tuned.

I went to Sears Automotive in Marlborough on 11/19/13 to have my two rear shocks replaced. They told me it would be done by 6pm at which it was. I get in the van and drive down the street and the van is bouncing all over the place and bottoming out at the smallest of bumps. I drive back to talk to them and they try to come up with a few excuses on why the van is acting this way. I admit I dont know a lot about vehicle maintenance, but I do know this shouldnt be happening. After they put their heads together they realized they installed the wrong shocks. Seeing the shop was closing, I had to leave my vehicle over night. This was a real inconvenience seeing that it is a work vehicle and I need it to earn money and get the kids to school in the am. They did fix it first thing in the am, but my question is, how can you install the wrong shocks. Maybe I would do something like that but, they are an automotive shop that does this EVERY DAY. I should have known not to return to Sears Auto Center. 12 years ago I let them do a oil change and tire rotation on my vehicle. On the way home my tire came flying off and I landed 10 inches from a pond. You probably know what happened next.... The worst thing about this whole situation is not one of them said they were sorry for the mix up and the inconvenience. I guess not everyone admits their screw ups.

I have had just about the worst Customer experience ever from the Sear Auto Center in Marlboro. My family was preparing to take a vacation and wanted to purchase a roof cargo carrier. After some internet research I found that Sears stocked the item. We went in to purchase the carrier and in discussion with the associate that completed the transaction we confirmed 1) all the necessary parts were enclosed 2) refund would be no issue with return if it did not fit. When We arrived home Home and started the installation we found that all parts were in fact not included. I went back to the store to return the cargo carrier, "same associate" now says only the manager is authorized to process returns and he does not work Monday and Friday. Okay I have a 3 day target not to process this return. Back again on Tuesday - no luck manager not there, Wednesday manager not there again!. However, this time the associate miraculously is now able to process the return... confusing... At this time he advises of a $30 restocking fee. Crazy. Feel like I got beat. Poor service, poor product and out hrs of my time and $30...

I had a tire blow out on the highway and went to Sears tire center in Marlborough to get 4 new tires, I drove in on my spare. 2 weeks later I was washing my car and noticed the spare was mushy. I went to put air in it and it would not hold air. I looked at the valve stem and noticed there was no needle in the valve. I went back to Sears in Marlborough an told the rep my story, the rep was very polite and helpful, he even explained to me how a valve stem works...um thanks but I know its supposed to hold air in the tire. he gets the manager to come take a look who explains to me that people get really mad when this happens.. You mean to tell me this happens ALL THE TIME! Come on Sears, get your Sh%$ together! If I got a flat on a dark road in the middle of no where, Id have no spare. Do you have any idea how dangerous this is??? I am very disappointed at the cavalier attitude of the Sears personnel for putting my life in danger. if your techs forget this step often I suggest you use a check list or some other tool to help them remember.

LAUGHABLE SERVICE at this location! I was in there Saturday 5/12/2012 to have 4 FRONT lights changed. A little over an hour later, I left with one headlight changed and two lights changed in the rear - which I didnt want or ask for. When I pointed it out to the salesperson, he was less than professional and actually stamped his feet as he turned away from me and said, Alright, well change em". Well, I didnt have the time. I had already invested over an hour and they couldnt change lights? I called to speak to the manager Monday morning and he wasnt working. I called Tuesday morning (today) and we agreed that Id go down around 3. I went at 2:45 to make sure that I connected with him. I was told that he was not available. He was in a meeting for another hour "or so". Could I come back in an hour "or so"? Turns out that the second in command that the manager Chris had told me to connect with if I wanted to come when he wasnt around, was also unavailable. REALLY? Cant change light bulbs?

I had an appointment scheduled for 1 pm today to put snow tires on my truck. I dropped my keys off and checked in. Associate told me 2 hours and I will receive a text alert. Over 2 hours later and no text. I walked back to the auto center from the mall and saw my truck in exactly the same spot as I had left it. I asked an associate if they had even started working on my truck yet and he tried to tell me that pick up was now 4 pm and "they had a lot of appointments," however while he was telling me this the original associate told me he forgot to put the work order in. They had completely forgotten I dropped my truck off. They told me another 30 minutes and it would be done. Another hour later it was finally ready. I try to be respectful of human error, but expected more than just "Im sorry." They gave me 20 bucks off. I had to ask for a discount for the issue, but I feel like they should have offered this without me asking. I drove an hour to get here. So much for my whole Saturday....
