First of all Ill start with, the pricing of this place is very high. The only reason I came here is because this place was the only place that had any available at the moment.. Second, when ever I had to visit my unit, it was after office hours, so like 8 or 9pm because thats the only time I could get there after work.. and twice now, the unit garage door had gotten stuck on me when trying to open or close it. And it would get stuck at half way. I had to have a couple of people try to open and close it at once.. Third, when it did get stuck on me, I tried to call the office phone and knock on the owners door out front to help because I could not get it closed, and nobody ever answered me. All of the different numbers that I called linked together to a generic Extra Space Storage Office center probably in Boston or somewhere and asked me to leave a message.. Luckily I had my own tools in my unit that I was able to use on the door too get it to shut so I didnt have to leave it open all night with my stuff in it and chance anyone stealing stuff out of it.. Every time I try to call, nobody answers the phone so Im forced to leave a message. However nobody returns my call, when I simply just want my name and debit card off of the storage unit. And Im not posting this to piss anybody off, I just want to inform everyone that this is what I had to go through, and Id hate to see if anybody else went through the same thing.

This place was fantastic in every aspect. I called the at around 1:30 in the afternoon hoping to be able to get a unit for that day. I called a few other place and they all swore that they were the cheapest. I needed a 5x10 unit at least and all other places were around $100-$130 dollars month and again, they all said "Our prices are very competitive and we are the cheapest around. Well, that wasnt even close to being true. I called extra space storage and they were 20% cheaper right off of the bat. I paid 80 some dollars. When I spoke to Valerie she secured a unit for me. When I arrived I dealt with Valerie again and she was fantastic. She was polite, kind, knowledgeable about their product. She was quick to show me the unit and As I checked out and finished paying and all that, she called me shortly after to make sure everything was up to my standards and it was. I spoke with Valerie two or three days later when she again called to see if the move went well and if I needed anything. At the time I didnt need anything but if I did, Im sure she wouldve taken care of it immediately. She was very sweet, kind and caring of all my needs as well. I recommend this place to everyone who need storage whether it be short term or long term. Valerie is an amazing. 5 stars all the way around.

I needed to access the storage unit for the first time after the office would already be closed, but I hadnt done the paperwork and was traveling out of town for a family reunion weekend. The manager, Valerie, at the New Bedford facility came up with the perfect solution: She suggested I find an Extra Space location in Pittsburgh, which is where I was, to sign a remote lease and get the access code, etc. to be able to move in when I needed to, late Monday night. So thats what I did and it worked out really well! It turns out my flight got cancelled so I ended up showing up when the office was open, but the point is that it had all been arranged as I thought I needed it to be. Also, Valerie made sure that I was given 24-hour access, which I absolutely need or there would be no point in me renting the unit at all, because I use it for work. In all my interactions, the staff has been very friendly and helpful, including the woman who helped me with the lease in Pittsburgh. Lastly, the location in New Bedford is very convenient to the highway and is nice and clean and seems to be very secure, at least as far as I can tell.

Too expensive, and they only have certain hours that you can go in and out, which is a huge inconvenience to me. The only reason I got the unit here is because they were sold out everywhere else. They charge you extra for insurance too, which maybe at other places is already included in the price, but Im annoyed that on top of charging me $150/month for a 10x10 space, you want to charge me extra money to cover my belongings in case someone breaks in or a fire burns the place down.... if youre already going to charge more than every other place, insurance should at least already be part of the cost. I cant wait to get my stuff out of there. Acushnet Storage is WAY BETTER- cheaper, and I can get to my things at anytime I need to.

i generally do not write reviews... this is the exception... I had a previous bad experience with a storage company.. so i did not expect anything different... boy!!!! was i mistaken... Ms Valerie is a peach.. She identified my needs and then offered me options to fit my needs...wow.. giving the customer what they need... what a novelty approach. I have been at the New Bedford Site for 5 months...And my opinion of Ms Valerie remains stead fast... She is a consummate professional.... simply put ... the customer comes first..Ms Valerie is a very visual.. She is always seen touring the property i am confident that my storage is in good hands... I Remain.......

(Customer service) Valerie was the most cooperative and understanding person and really knowledgeable on her job ,if there a problem or situation to take care of she wouldnt stop until it was completed. Ive seen that lady work in rainy conditions completely saturated until the tasks was completed. At one time I was at the facility when I spoke to one of the GM of extra space storage and suggested that they should send Valerie on a paid vacation place undetermined and he agreed .I own my construction co. and if I could utilize a person like her I would be more than pleased. When I sent a request for storage, Valerie called within minutes to answer any questions I had and gave me information about the storage. She is excellent and gave very good customer service. I scheduled my move in date later in the week but realized I wanted to have access sooner. I went to the office and Valerie was very much understanding and said it wouldnt be a problem. Valerie has helped me so much already. Im so glad I chose Extra Space Storage. Thanks again!

Needed a storage unit on short notice called and spoke with Renee and unfortunately they didnt have any units to suit my needs. She assured me she would call me back when a unit became available. A few days later true to her word she called me back with an available unit at a rate that was better than any where else. Went down to visit Renee that same day and got my unit. Customer service was awesome and I will definitely be recomending to all my friends.
