I try not to write disparaging remarks about anyones craft. So I hope that this review is seen by the owner and can assist with your business growth. They seem very quiet. I had service with Sandra. Her sweet demeanor was very refreshing and her ability to try to accommodate me was extremely commendable seeing as I only gave her 2 hours notice. With that being said I want to start off with you guys have a lot of hot equipment in your facility. You guys need to turn on your air conditioner. I hate to come to a hairdresser thats not properly cool and they do my edges and my edges curl back up due to the heat. Also if you dont know how to do a service dont say you do. I would rather you tell me what you can do and let me decide sometimes we may have to accept what we can get in the spirit of our appearance. I stopped going to this location once before because I was told that we were able to do Sisterlocks at this location and that was not factual information. In a pinch I came back to the facility yesterday June 14th and was told that my dreadlocks could be styled. They could be styled but not in a style that you pick from a magazine its a limited amount that many of your workers need to learn that skill. The staff really doesnt great you much when you come in. The beauty supply next door is always closed and you have to unlock it in order to get a product that you may need. Your staff will drop a towel on the floor pick it up off of the floor and put it back around the shoulders of the customer and potentially try to use it in their hair. I saw this done alot at the location. You also may need to add a little bleach in with your towels because they smell a bit like mildew. The beauty parlor is way too quiet. Relaxation music or a talk show maybe the avenue to go to make this feel like some type of spa treatment. Rather what you end up doing is running down your battery life on your phone trying to watch something to keep you entertained. I asked that you take these suggestions in stride rather than to have a conflict with my personal opinion it is not the opinion of others and I would never tell people not to try this location. Although they are a bit heavy-handed when it comes to twisting and braiding they do a very good job with their braids.

I had a beautiful cut and style by another stylist in another state and was simply looking for someone to replicate the style only. I showed her pictures and asked if any one in the salon could do it and one stylist said yes, Diane can. Ive seen her do peoples hair that way. I left her with the pictures to show to Diane. I called the next day to speak with Diane and she assured me she could. I go in the day following day, show her the pictures again and she assured me she could. She told me I needed a cut in the back, I told her I didnt that was just how the style was. She said not a cut just a small trim, which then altered my entire cut. She didnt even come close to giving me the style I asked for because she couldnt do it. I told her I was not happy with what she did and she admitted she did not do a good job. I honestly would have rathered she just be honest and tell me she couldnt do it instead of ruining my hair and taking my money. Which she did not hesitate to take after knowing she did a horrible job. I would have just loaned her the money if she needed it that bad. Long story short, do not go here. Both Diane and her coworker looked me in my face and lied saying she could do something she could not because she did not even come CLOSE to giving me what I had. Which I understand takes some skill to do, my style was flawless and she simply couldnt do it. Thats ok, but I just would have rathered the truth instead of a ruined haircut. I have pictures for proof!

I went to BB Hair Salon a few weeks ago to get a sew in with a natural hair part. I was a bit nervous because it had been a while since I had anything done to my hair other than braids. I hate to start of with a negative but lets just get it out of the way. I didnt like the quality of the hair. It was beautiful and it had that "white girl" flow for about 3 days. then it started to matte up and be stiff. I was able to maintain it looking nice by always curling it. It looked great curled but I did want to wear it straight down at times, which I could not. On the Flip Side. I have to say the service here is PHENOMENAL. Everyone was nice and polite and I was beyond impressed with the level of professionalism. My hair was done by Bennita. She is amazing. I didnt know what I wanted but she did a great job. I walked out of that salon looking like Olivia Pope herself. I had a cute little short 10 in sew in that she curled and I couldnt of loved it more than I already did. There were no tracks showing and it was smooth. The BEST thing about it was. . . It didnt even hurt. I have that African kinky hair so I most def appreciated that. I recommend BB hair salon to everyone. And I recommend Bennita. I will not let anyone else touch my hair except for her. (Side note-- bring your own hair) <3

Ive had 3 appointments at BB and the only decent experience I had was the first time when I had a deep conditioning and trim. My relaxers have been extremely rough by Diana, and the way she would mash my hair with the creme relaxer in it together and literally tear and rip my hair pulling apart a new section to smooth it was too much for me. I burned in several spots bc she forgot about me and my hair just feels coarse and overprocessed. Also, another girl that was styling my hair wasnt going to trim my ends bc she didnt think i needed it. I asked for a trim anyway, and she half assed it so bad. She didnt even trim all of my ends and left it uneven where it was broken at. She didnt even touch my bangs so theyre long and past my eyes still, and when i asked what my ends look like she said it was broken in the back. OBVIOUSLY if theres a broken area, my ends needed to be trimmed. Im not dumb and they really treated me like im an idiot, like im not a paying customer. I will never ever go back to this salon again, and not only will i not recommend it to other black women, but i will ward them away from this terrible place.

Years ago I came here frequently and always left satisfied due to the amazing weaving skills of Bennita and another woman who sadly no longer works there (only reason I didnt give 1 star). My only issue would be the time they take. If your appt is at the crack of dawn, youll still leave there close to closing time. They recently renovated so I decided to give it a shot and save the trip to Boston and go back to BBs. Never again. Called at 9, booked an appt for 11, was sitting in the chair waiting and waiting and waiting while they took person after person. Yes it was a Saturday so it was busy, but what was the point of me making an appt if they dont stick to it? An hour and a half later, I was still sitting in the waiting chair and not one of the 5 stylists who were there that day came over to reassure me I was next or even start to braid my hair. Needless to say I walked out of there and will never go back due to the poor customer service. I wish there were more local options for weaves but its worth the trip to Boston!
