Ive lived in RI for five years and have had trouble finding someone who can cut and color my hair the way I would like. The search is over! I found not one, but two hair stylists at Luminous who I hope will be my stylists for years to come. When I called to make the appointment and described what I was looking for, the receptionist knew right away who would be the best stylists for what I was looking for. And she was right. Yelena expertly colored my hair, and Kim gave me a beautiful, precise haircut. Its clear both stylists have a lot of experience, but also keep up with changing trends and styles. Beyond receiving a fantastic color and cut, the salon itself is such a nice environment. Its spacious and super-clean. The decor is stylish, but not stuffy or trendy. (Thank you for not having a communal table for the color station!) You can tell that great attention was given to the placement of everything for the comfort of both patrons and stylists. Even more than the look and feel of the place, everyone is really nice -- and nice to each other. But at the same time they’re focused on their work. Thats the mark of true professionals if you ask me. Even if I had a bad haircut or color, I would likely come back just because of the environment. Thank you Google for finally finding a salon for me in RI!

Im torn here, the hair cut I got from Jacquie K, was good, very good but the salon uses false advertising to capture its pray. They have several signs, one says "Mens Haircut, $25.00, another says "Walk in Special, $10 off of Mens haircut", So I walked in expecting to pay no more than, $25, but when I want to pay I was told it was $40, $40 Dollars for a Hair cut that took no more that 30 minutes to do, no cleaning up of the ears or eyebrows, I mean come on!,thats Twice what I pay everywhere else. So no Im not a fan, I detest shady operators! Stay away from this place!

All the staff of Luinious Salon and Spa are there to pamper you with anything you need.. Their facial room is great, candle light, low soothing music, when your finished your ready to face your humdrum life with so much more positive feelings. Loved my experience there and I can not wait to return. Next time: The Massage, possibly peticure or maybe both. Love you guys, your the best!!

I have been a client of the owner, Rick Costa, for over a dozen years. I was thrilled when he started his own salon. I currently live in Worcester, MA and drive nearly an hour to have him do my hair because going to anyone else is completely out of the question. The salon is clean, the staff is amenable and efficient, and the massages are fabulous. I cant recommend them high enough.

Kim has been cutting my hair for years and she is a genius! I know a guy who was taught by the great Vidal Sassoon back in the day and he says my hair is cut really well and my stylist is talented. She is very open and responsive to my ideas as I like a little edginess even over 50 and I always feel amazing when I walk out of the salon.

Do not do a wedding without getting your wedding party to Luminous! Debbie set up a lovely continental breakfast and we spent the morning of the wedding getting gorgeous updos, manis and pedis with her talented stylists. It was truly a highlight of our wedding weekend in Providence. Thanks to everyone!

Used to be my favorite salon. Plenty of senior stylists if you can pay in their range. I was not treated kindly by a new stylist that did not want to take the time to cut my curly hair correctly. Wore bobby pins for 3 months & counting. Owner would not refund. Not right for a salon of its caliber.

Rick helps me keep my hair healthy. He gently persuades me to go more natural so my hair isnt damaged. My hair has never been healthier. The atmosphere is comfortable and elegant without being pompous. Ive experienced several services and all were excellent. I will go only to Luminous!!!

I have been a client of Rick Costas for a few years now and I have never been happier with my hair. I was so excited to hear that he opened his own salon. The salon itself is warm and welcoming and acts as a relaxing getaway after a day at work. I highly recommend Luminous Salon.
