Yes, the old lady is rough around the edges but I guess she is okay. I think she is just old. So, I ignore must of what she says. We had our child in Classes 1 and in 2. The teacher was okay. The teacher seemed to be nice. Good about the childrens care, being clean, etc. Yes, they only have 2 lessons a day. Yes, the children play a lot with little or no supervision. My meaning is that they just play, no educational type playing. No constructive type playing. NO educational games. The round class or the sit around class is for about 15 minutes and twice a day. Disappointing! They do teach the children about cleanliness. If your child doesnt speak any English then there will be NO Help. No ESL. They can learn a few words. I would have liked to seen the day care to; at least, bring in a good teacher to teach something. Yes, its true the teacher are not qualified to teach anything. And yes, I think they definitely make enough money to have a good teacher to teach some lessons. I would like to suggest bringing in a good (I don’t care about qualification/a paper) teacher just for the lessons. The teacher could teach in "Class 1" and then go on to "Class 2" and so on. This could help them save money and make good use of a good teacher. A seperate lesson time for ESL. Unfortunately the teachers are sales people. Example: How was my child today? Teachers and staffs reply, "Oh, the child was fine. No problems. The child cried a little. Etc." They want your child to stay. They will stretch the truth. I must say, that this is definitely true in many places. Money, money, money! On the hand, if the child is a really big problem, then NO. Sorry, the child is not ready. They dont want one bad apple to ruin the whole class. Again, some of the other places are the same. Some! It is about the money. They do what they have to and go on. Yes, I agree, that this day care could be a very good day care but its not. We are going to fine another place. I have heard that there is going to be a new day care in Quincy with teachers to help teach English as a second language. We dont need it but it sounds like someone is trying to do some good and hopefully not all about the money. Yes, it was clean day care. My biggest disappointment is that our child wasted 2 years without any real opportunity to learn. I wish I knew before but I did not. I will regret this for the rest of my life. I am presently looking for a good day care. Anyone know of a good place? Please let me know. :) PS. Yes, the management needs something. I am not sure what. They are successful. I dont know of anyplace better so what can we do? I am truely interested in a new school. Anybody that wants to start a "good school" please let me know. I will help. Thank you.

I have read everyones review. My daughter is fairly new. (Since the beginning of the year.) In the beginning, I thought the old woman hated me. I simply ignore her, now. The other women are nice and helpful. The teachers are ok. And I agree with the other person. They are “just ok”. I try to talk to them and sometime they answer me and sometimes they are talking and talking but say nothing. Then they look at me like... I dont know. It’s as though they don’t want anyone to say or ask too much or dont want anyone questioning them. I am not asking difficult questions. Once, I asked some parents to listen to my question and if anything was unreasonable. They said, “No, but probably better not to ask. Don’t ask the teacher! They also have heard about their attitude” and suggested, “to simply follow like blind sheep.” And there were other similar commits. MY GOD! I do agree that it is a clean place. However, I also agree with the teaching and teacher problem. My friends that take their children there, tell me not to ask question from the teachers. Maybe it’s a problem - maybe not. I guess it’s too late for me. It’s been months and I still get a chill (cold shoulder; ignored) when I go in. My heart is broken for my child. I dont think or perhaps I wish that there is no reprisal. It worries me a lot. It occupies a lot of my time. I just cant get it out of my mind. As far as reading ability, as I have read, it is individual child ability. I am not saying the day care helped or didnt help. Repeating what I have read from educational literature. My husband wants to take our child to another place but my friends say they are all the same. It’s a matter of convenience. My husband is also worried about me. He is afraid that my continuing worry for our child is bad for my health. Hope this does not sound funny and I hope that someone in the day care management can read this. Overall, I think it’s a nice place. My problem is my concern for my child. Will there be any retaliation for asking the teacher some questions. She was aggravated with my questions. She has been there for some time and I don’t notice anything wrong. I guess this should stop my concerns. However, still the question of the teachers. Are they instructed not to answer? Are they too proud? Or are they incapable and feel intimidated? It wasn’t a one time event. However, after the second or third time, I dare not talk to the teacher again. Can someone pass this to management?

Once we got past the old woman, well, it got better. It’s a nice clean environment Seems like a nice place in the beginning The stairs are bit tricky. A teacher or a teacher helper was leading a small group of kids. One fell then they all fell. No one hurt. though. The teachers and curriculum is lacking. There is one lesson in the morning and one in the afternoon. At least that how it is for Class 1 and 2. Sadly, some of the children are smarter than the teacher. One class is bringing in more then $4000 a week on average. I dont understand why they don’t have better teachers. Dont know who the old lady is but she needs to go or learn some public relation skills. The maintenance man must be related to the owner. He is just milking his job. He knows how to butter up the old lady. Old lady must be a manager or something. ****** Pluses: Good clean environment. I have to give it 4 and half stars. I have been to many day cares in Quincy and this is among the top day care places in terms of cleanliness. Only a few places that I would give five stars. **** Middle of the road: Fairly safe place. *** Cons: The old woman, teachers, teacher assistants - not good (this is based on Class 1 and 2) I dont know about the others. Only hear say. They say they do there job and that’s it. It’s a day care and that’s it. Dont expect education. Overall: It’s a nice clean place; fairly safe; do the educating at home and it will be all right. ** Prospects: It could be a great place if they only had some good teachers. I dont understand why they dont. I have to say that, if the old lady is managing this day care, then its time for her to go. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!
