Worst customer service Ive ever seen. First off,a notice was left in place of my package, even though the package did NOT require a signature. I looked up the hours online, so I could go get my package, it said open until 630. At 515 the service window was closed, apparently at 5pm. On saturday, I called and asked how late the lobby was open, and was told 5 oclock. After arriving at 2, I saw that the window was closed at 1. I called, and to my surprise I got an answer. I politely explained that the mail runs when Im at work, and by the time I get home, the Post Office was closed, and I was right there, could I just sign for it and be on my way.... I was told no, to come back during regular business hours. I am a former postal employee, and this is completely unacceptable. I cannot wait for the USPS to go under, and it will because of offices like this one.

5 days late and now its MIA. good job USPS! :-P package was supposed to be delivered last Thursday. its currently Tuesday and its still not here. it was delayed until Monday, when it was marked out for delivery but nothing in the box all day. Called Tuesday morning the carrier, with an attitude, said he had delivered it Monday. So Tuesday, after delivery time checked again, still nothing. called back at 3:30, manager said hed call me back before 5pm today. I called at 5:10pm and theyre closed an no word. So these guys have either lost it or stole it and are covering their butts. incompetent. I never have this trouble with UPS or Fedex. 5 days late and now its MIA. good job USPS! :-P

Completely rude and insulting. I called about a missing package and they insisted it must have been stolen. No. The chucklehead carrier delivered it to the wrong address. I wouldnt care so much were it not for the fact that the people on the phone were so nasty. They refused to give me the lat/long of the GPS of where it was delivered. Need mail services In Salem? Go to Marblehead PO.

Ive always had a good and fair experience here. Just remember everyone, people are more likely to write reviews after theyve had a bad experience, so these 1 star ratings dont necessarily reflect the service you will receive here. Also, the employees have ALWAYS been polite and courteous to me.

Excellent service! I recently dropped a letter without a stamp in a mailbox and immediately called the post office to ask for help. (I believe his name was Don) Don went out of his way to make sure the letter was located and successfully sent out. Great customer service. Thanks again!

USPS was delivered to Salems Post Office and then RETURNED because someone there was convinced I had moved!?!?! Even tho all OTHER mail with my name and address has been delivered!??????? HUH!? Cant wait to get on the phone Monday to hear what bone-head reasoning caused this decision.

When you go in, you wait for an hour to get to the desk. When you get something delivered they tag it delivered and they dont deliver it. They have even delivered it to the wrong adress, had the people sign for it and left it with them. WHEW SO GLAD TO BE BUYING STRANGERS STUFF.

Horrible customer service. We unfortunately have one of the rudest postmen that deliver to us. Apparently he doesnt know how to physically pick up a package and place it in his van as well. Please start hiring employees with common sense
