I was discriminated by a host, who looks like an Indian American. I came to this place, which is near my school, to have lunch buffet by myself. The host told me to sit on small round table. I asked him whether I can have a booth, which was right next to the small table. He said thats for more than two people, so I just sat on the small table. However, there was a Caucasian guy who was eating by himself on the table. He was wearing a University of Michigan employee shirt. I thought he came with someone, so I just ate. Then, that Caucasian guy paid his bill and left. He came here by himself. I was like What??? Then, another Caucasian guy came for lunch buffet by himself. He asked the same question that I asked to the host, and the host let him have a booth. After I saw that, I asked the host why I could not have a booth. He said "I thought it would be uncomfortable for you to have a booth because there was a guy right behind that booth. And today is Friday, so I cannot let every single person have a booth." And I asked "What about that guy? He just came here by himself. There are more people than when I came. And there was a guy who was eating by himself on the booth when I came." Then, he just apologized quickly without really meaning it. It was a horrible experience, and I will never come back here again.

I went there and ordered a pizza with fresh cilantro on it and it was absolutely delicious. Two weeks later I ordered the exact same pizza and although they claim there was cilantro on it, I didnt taste any. They offered to bring out extra cilantro so we could add it to our pizza ourselves and when they brought it out, it was dried oregano and was basically flavorless. I complained to the waitress who was apologetic and said she would talk to the manager. All I wanted was a formal apology from the manager or chef, but not only did we not get that, the waitress never come back after that to check if we needed anything else. Such a shame that I went from loving it to hating it because no one addressed my concerns. Too many other wonderful restaurants with excellent customer service for me to waste my time there ever again.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Excellent. I recommend the Cranberry Pecan salad with the Raspberry Poppyseed dressing and for the main entree the blackend chicken! Drinks: Great. Excellent wine list! Space: This is a bi-level large modern, elegant and sleek restaurant/bar/lounge with a very open and intimate floor layout. The bar has dining seating, the main dining area has booth seating and the upper level has more intimate layout. Making this a great place for mingling, date nights, and get-togethers. Scene: Singles Scene. Date night. Pickup scene. Girls night out. Crowd: Mostly students and academics. Service: Bar staff and servers are attentive and friendly.

Visited here for their lunch buffet. The salad bar was great. Waiters at the ready to replenish it with fresh vegetables. There were plenty of options to customize a salad with dressings as well. They only serve two different types of pizza at the buffet but thankfully vegetarian is always one of the two. They also had a choice between three different cakes for dessert. Overall it was a great meal. Our server didnt rush us at all, and we left satisfied with the quality, taste and value of our meal.

Great food, great service! I always liked Cottage Inn Restaurant when I was a student here. Their gourmet pizzas are great. Last time I went, I was visiting in the winter. Did not have enough change for the meter. When I asked the waitress for change, she asked me where my car was, then went out in the cold to put the money in my meter so I can stay inside and enjoy the meal. This is service!

Id count this the best pizza in town, whether it comes from The Original Cottage Inn or no. Credit is due for introducing me to my current favorite, the spicy Mediterranean pizza (banana peppers, feta cheese, and herbs). That said, I dont think Ann Arbor does pizza as well as other towns. They occasionally have great happy hour deals in the summer when students are gone.

The reviews were all so positive I was hoping they were not exaggerating. And they werent! We had such a wonderful time! Started with the calamari. Unlike any Ive ever had. Delicious! We could have eaten another bowl. And then the bucatini. Also amazing. Plenty for two. Yummy meatballs. Fabulous tomato sauce. And the puttanesca pizza. Added white anchovies. Wow!...

“Simply delicious ” What a treat! We had the 6 course tasting menu which was more like 10 courses and every mouthful was delicious . The food is very inventive. A successful fusion of Colombian and Italian . Service was immaculate and the setting very modern and comfortable. An excellent evening. Very good value considering the outstanding product. Thank you

Amazing food, excellent atmosphere and great service. There were 10 of us and everyone loved all the food. We were visiting from Oregon and saw Jim H. Picture on the wall. While it was no deal breaker I would have loved to have seen him. Just to snag a picture to send it back to my Oregon friends, "Having dinner in Ann Arbor with our good friend Jim". Lol

This restaurant started as a small family run Korean place near University Hospital. It has since moved and become one of Ann Arbors finest restaurants. I especially like it for its fabulous fish-beautifully prepared with yummy sauces that are not too overpowering. This is a place for a lovely evening out. Book a table, order a drink, sit back and...

I went for the weekday lunch buffet. Its a great deal. They had an extensive salad bar, two types of pizza (1 veg, 1 meat), garlic bread, 2 types of pasta and a bunch of desserts. The food tasted fresh (which is not always the case with buffets) There were alot of ppl there for the buffet which meant the pizza was also fresh and warm.

poor service, the bread they brought out to us was absolutely disgusting and the pizza I would expect better. I maybe would have given it another try if the service was not so bad and I expected way better quality food. Ann Arbor does not have a shortage of good pizza places how ever Cottage Inn is not one of those sadly.

I went with a big group of about 15 people and they told us after we ordered and everything that they will only split the bill 7 ways(not sure how they came up with 7?) but it was a huge pain to have to figure out who was putting what on whos card and who had cash, etc. Pizza I ordered was okay but nothing special.

Its hard for me to rate anything but the Tuna because its all I ever get at Pacific Rim. I never do this at other restaurants but at Pacific Rim it truly is the best. Other favorites in my family are the Five Spice Duck and the Sable Fish. The hot chocolate lava cake is a must. Cocktails are interesting...

We went on a double date here at the other couples suggestion. My first reaction was, "Really? Cottage Inn?" I was pleasantly surprised to find that this isnt an average pizzeria, but rather a fine dining, full service restaurant, complete with a full bar. The food was excellent. 10/10 would go again.
