I dont usually review places unless I have the utmost horrible experience so here it goes... I was fortunate to not actually come to this place since my appointment was canceled on the month of my cousins wedding because just the back to back phone experience with the weirdo at the front desk was enough for me! I had made a makeup appt with a girl i found on Instagram for bridesmaids makeup and I was called the month of the wedding with them telling me that the girl was in the hospital (which is completely understandable). She offered me someone else and I "politely" rejected. A week later the same girl called me to confirm a trial appt with some guy there (which I never scheduled to begin with). I reminded her that we already had spoken about this and I did not want to do my makeup with anyone else there. The girl started arguing back and forth with me, accusing me of never canceling, so I cursed her out as anyone should, for talking to a potential client in that terrible way and disconnected the phone! Today I get another call from the same girl confirming an appt for next Friday (day of my cousins wedding). I am just shocked at how unprofessional this person is and appalled at the manner of which she spoke to me, as if I had an obligation to go to this appointment that we had never made after they had canceled with me the first time!! She tells me on the phone that the original girl i was doing my appointment with is no longer in the hospital and can now do my makeup! Does that make sense? This salon is not even certified and I will make it my mission to see through that they get investigated! DO NOT COME HERE! If i had just this terrible experience on the phone, just imagine in person! And btw they delete the bad reviews as much as they can! Oh and the girl that canceled on me the month of was Areej! Dont book with her if you have a special occasion!

This isnt about the salon personally, but about one of the make up artists, areej. If you do plan on booking her, make sure its at the salon and not freelance. Shes notorious for cancelling appointments the day before an event. She cancelled my appointment the day before my wedding. Talk about nightmare.... she tried setting me up with a "back up" artist which led me to believe she planned to back out the entire time. I booked her months in advance for myself as well as 5 of my family members. I even paid a deposit. Lets get real, what bride in her right mind will let someone theyve never met or seen their work do their makeup for the biggest event in their life. Its a joke. She has absolutely no professional work ethic. I wish it was just me shes done this to but since posting my experience on social media, a lot of other brides have come forward that areej daghlas has done this to them as well. Please do yourself a favor and do NOT book areej daghlas for freelance. She might just sleep through the appointment as she did for my friend last year then promise a "free make up session next time" but still make you pay if you book her that next time. Good luck in life areej. Take your "passion" a little more serious and stop ruining other peoples events in the process.

This is the most unprofessional, inconsistent and rude salon I have ever visited. The prices will vary greatly with each visit. Even if you get the exact same service with the exact same stylist. The quality of work is also inconsistent. At times, my friends and I have been very pleased with the outcome, which is the ONLY reason we have come back again. However, very often, things like color blotches, ashy or brassy color, and horrible make-up are overlooked. Even when we voice our concern, instead of apoligizing or fixing it, the staff is rude and full of excuses. The owners charge the most, but have yet to successfully do my or my friends and familys hair with the quality that one would expect from the owners. And very often, assistants are the only ones who actually touch your hair.Needless to say, one by one, all of my friends and family who were going to Cool Blue have all taken their business elsewhere. If youre looking for a relaxing visit to a salon and want to leave with confidence, and feel like you look your best, do not step foot into Cool Blue Salon. The entire staff is rude and unwelcoming, making for an uncomfortable and unsatisfying experience.

Best salon! I have been coming here since June 2008 & I have never left this place unhappy. I actually am very relaxed when theyre working on my hair. Yes more than one person works on your hair but thats because the owners have their assistants, they just do the important work like cut and color ....u get shampood and brushed by the assistants, who are not very talkative but so what. Im just always confident that Im gonna walk out of there with an awesome look. Allen is my stylist and he even did my hair for my wedding and several other occasions Ive been to, I drive for over an hour to get my hair done here! Everywhere else Ive been, close to where I live, wants almost twice as much for the cut & color that I get here....! I got lazy once and tried a get famous place by where I live, reve salon, OMG I walked out as if my hair wasnt cut and the color wasnt what I had wanted. Lesson learned! The drive is totally worth it and their prices are very reasonable. Other reviewers really need to take it easy, this isnt a spa!!! I HIGHLY recommend cool blue.

is the staff good at what they do? Yes. Is it worth waiting 5 hours for hair and makeup? No. I am currently writing this review while I am waiting for my sister to get done there. It is 2:30. Her hair and makeup appointment was at 10 in the morning!!! she had booked with two places on the same day and the ONLY reason she chose cool blue is because she called and they ASSURED her shed be done by 12. We are missing my cousins wedding ceremony because this salon is notorious for over booking! They need to get it together over there. Alan JUST started putting her hair up (2:30). The worst part is my mom called at 1:30 to complain and they didnt even care. Ive never been there and I never will... From what Ive heard from friends during prom and other weddings, this is common over there. So unless youre a bridal party (in which case Im sure you have priority) or you have 5 hours to waste at a salon, go somewhere else.

This place does a horrible job....especially with makeup. The lady that does the makeup is so rude. I almost left the place completly but had a deadline. On top of being rude, she cakes the makeup on regardless of what you tell her to do. When I asked how she learned to do makeup, she said she taught herself, and therefore has no training. They did an okay job on the hair but did not ask what I wanted done and it ended up being a lot different than what I wanted. They also kept having different people do my hair. Overall the place is very unorganized and rude. I would not ever recommend anyone here, especially for makeup. You should leave a salon feeling good, and the makeup artist did quite the opposite.
