I live in Lake Orion and I serve in the U.S. Navy. I took 1 uniform and my peacoat to get drycleaned and have 1 patch put on. Also I had 2 1/2 inches taken out when I was charged for 3 (I measured when I got home). My bill was 52.34. I was mad and told the husband who owns it w/ his wife that was not what I was told by his wife. I asked if I could just get the uniform today and get my peacoat out of Friday (today is monday) because I have a funeral to perform today on behalf of the Navy. He was not happy w/ me and told me I could not leave my peacoat and to come back w/ the money and get everything out. So I did that but while at home I called 3 other drycleaners and all were approx. 20.00 cheaper and I also told them the story and 2 of the 3 all said they get alot of customers from Heralds because of that reason. When I went back to pick up the uniforms I let him know of the price differance and also told him that he should be ashamed of himself overcharging people and he should know not to do that especially since he himself served in the military. When I looked over my uniform it was poor quality on the patch and my peacoat still had the white hairs from a blanket on it that the owner told me she could get out.

Just terrible ! I dropped of 2 all cotten table cloths to be pressed . When I picked them up i noticed they still had wrinkles in them . I spike to the man behind the counter who said it was because I had washed them ..really ? he told me that they cant get wrinkes out of cotten table cloths . I told him , I press them myself all the time however I was short on time due to getting ready for a special party . He was so rude and told me he would not bend and that I had to pay $45 for 2 table cloths that had wrinkles all over them still !! I asked why he did not make me aware of this when I dropped it off and he said most customers want you to try and get them out . He was aweful and the service is aweful . So many other places to spend your money .

Reading these other reviews I felt I had to respond. Anytime myself or my wife drops anything off they are very very clear on the price and when it will be ready. If your not paying attention they tell you again. They do really really high quality work. If price is your number one concern then go elsewhere but if its quality or definitely something very important to you then its not the time to try and save money in my opinion. My family knows that their wedding dresses - formal wear & etc. then its Herald.

Do not do business with these people. They lost my shirts and when they had the decency to call 2 years later!!! YES 2 years later; they still charged me. WOW! Awful customer service to say the least.

Went for alterations was VERY impressed as was my daughter expect great work just from talking to her as a seamstress myself I recommend this place to everyone!!!

Could not launder a shirt and return in 2 days. They dry cleaned it and charged me almost $5 for a "special order". Will never go back.
