If anyone is considering getting cabinets from LaFata Cabinets they should think twice. I signed a contract on 3-15-16 to get two bathroom cabinets from LaFata Cabinets in Shelby Twp. Michigan and I was promised they would be ready in 6 weeks. The six weeks were up on 4-26-16 but when I called Debbie on 4-26-16 she stated that the cabinets would not be ready for another two weeks. So I called today on 5-10-16 at 9:20 AM I was told by a girl there that the computer did not show my cabinets were ready yet and that she would have Debbie check out the progress of my cabinets and call me back shortly. I did not receive a call back by 1:15 PM so i called LaFata again and was told Debbie was out in the plant and she would call me back. Guess what no call. The problem is that when I gave my check to Lafata on 3-15-16 the check was cashed the next day. The tile work has been completed in the bathroom for over a week now and I had to change the date of the contractor to do the cabinet installation two times now and he is getting pissed at me. I had to also change the date for the granite top installation and the plumber and painter. What a mess all because of LaFata Cabinet not doing their job on a timely manner. If I had to do it over again I would have went to another Cabinet maker to have the job done.

Great quality cabinets surprisingly affordable! Just finished remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. Went to LaFata and was a little intimidated by the beautiful showroom (everything seemed very expensivie). But after meeting with my salesperson (very knowledgeable), and understanding that they can accomodate any budget, I was very surprised to find out they were the cheapest price out of three other quotes I had gotten. Two of the three were Home Depot and Lowes. I brag to everyone how professional there entire staff is from the salesperson to the driver who delivered the cabinets to the installers who made my experience so enjoyable. I really dont understand the other negative reviews. I know three other people that bought cabinets from LaFata and all are very happy customers. Most of all, my kitchen and bathroom are gorgeous! By the way this is my second kitchen I purchased from this company and having them in my other house was a selling feature and helped sell my house!!!

The sales people are nice but extremely unhelpful. I bought a house that had new Lafata cabinets installed in the kitchen and bathrooms. I wanted to add a pantry, garbage pull-out and some shelves to the existing cabinetry. I was told they dont deal with modifications so I should just get my own handy man and do it myself. If I wanted them to order the materials for me (so they matched the existing units) I would have to measure myself and find my own person to do the installation. I had also asked for someone to come and measure my closet to give me a quote for shelving. I was told I should go elsewhere because they would be too expensive. They didnt really even give me a choice, they just assumed I wouldnt be able to afford it. I would not choose them in the future. This was a smaller job I was asking them to do, but could have led to bigger jobs in the future but they lost my business by treating this like its beneath them.

Cabinets are now 8 years old. I still think they are beautiful but after being in our lives for 8 years I find myself constantly searching for the wood glue to piece together $15000.00 cabinets. I went to Lafata because of their quality. Unfortunately all I am having is quality issues. The wood is subpar and is splitting at the joints and seams. Took it back to Lafata and they blamed wear and tear. I asked for a replacement on a cabinet door which I was willing to pay for......he said he would have to get back to me with the cost. He hasnt returned any calls. Probably for the better as I will never give them a penny again. For $15000.00 I expected more from my cabinets after 8 years. They are still very new and I am gluing them back together.....you are better off shopping at Home Depot.

The other negative reviews are spot on. I didnt believe a company thats in the business of selling a product would treat customers badly. I was wrong. Brian is as arrogant as they come. He spoke down to us both times we went into the showroom. I thought it must have been an off day for him the first time so we went back to see if he would be different. He was just as rude the second time. He acted as though they dont need your business. Fine with me, Ill spend my $20,000 elsewhere. Your loss Brian!

First let me start of saying that everybody complaining about LaFatas poor customer service is WRONG! Every time I called there, they tried there best to answer my many questions. The sales person I worked with was very thorough when explaining the kitchen I would be getting. We did a full remodel, and the cabinetry is A+++ Not only do the cabinets look great, but we are confident that this change has increased the value of our home. Thanks for the great quality of work! Would highly recommend.

I have Lafata cabinets installed in my house from original construction in 2001. I have scratches I want to repair. That back of the drawers have wood and finish information that doesnt track with anything. I called them to help me understand the code numbers and to ask for advice on repair. The wouldnt let me talk to anyone saying the cabinets are beyond 6 years old. Terrible customer service.

Major remodel of 2 bathrooms. All new vanities with drawers and doors plus 2 large doors for a linen closet outside one bathroom. Very good selection of colors and materials. Sales staff was helpful and easy to work with. Felt the product was exceptional at a reasonable price. Would definitely go there again.

Have older LaFata Cabnets that are in fantastic shape. Went today to ask about adding a section to replace a desk. Representative was not helpful even when we asked about new Cabnets. Guess we didnt appear to be spending enough money, so was just blown off. No worries, will take my business elsewhere.

We had a great experience, we worked with Brooke she was very patient and professional with us. My brother and I were helping our dad redo his kitchen. The only thing you need to work on is when the contractors were involved there was a break down in communication with us.

Horrible customer service. My salesman did not listen to our requests for a our cabinets (soft close on everything) and then blamed it on us. They didnt return calls MULTIPLE times. I also felt we were talked down to. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
