I just visited Sakora for the first time this evening at the recommendation of a friend -- it may sound cliche, but I cant see myself going anywhere else now! As soon as I walked in (its bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside!), the ladies at the counter hung my coat for me and offered me a drink while I waited. Lisa came and started asking what Id like done, and took me back for a shampoo and massage (yes, you get a neck and scalp massage free before they shampoo you!), then did an *amazing* job with my hair. I had a decent amount of length taken off, and Lisa knew exactly how to frame my face with the new length while also doing some light layers to add some volume to my super thin hair. I am *beyond* happy with my experience here, and wont hesitate to recommend Sakora to anyone else! (They also do massages, waxing, and manis/pedis -- cant wait to try some of those out in the future too!)

I dont know how anyone gave this place more than one star. If I could have rated this a half a star I wouldve. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. The lady who cut my hair nvr said one word. I told her and showed her a picture of what i wanted done..She cut my hair the way SHE wanted it done. The ppl who are having a positive experience are probably relitives or close friends. I will NEVER go back nor will I EVER suggest this place to anyone. The staff and place in general are so terrible Id have a blind man cut my hair before I went back there.

The lady at the front desk was amazing. I was looking for a place that carried aveda and so i went there to purchase aveda damage remedy shampoo (as its the best and well worth the money) I asked alot of questions to her about different aveda products and she was very knowledgeable. I am coming back to get a haircut and enjoy the wonderful customer service! Cant wait to revisit! I will also always buy my shampoo from here from now on.

I called on a Thursday around 5:00 asking if they had an appointment for a haircut that day or the next. They got me in that evening at 6:45 with Amy. She was fantastic! Not only was she super friendly, but she talked to me about what I was looking for before beginning anything, explained in detail exactly what she was doing every step of the way and gave me a great haircut. I love this place! :)

I dont usually do reviews BUT I have to say Ashley hooked my hair up !! Im also a colorist/stylist for another Aveda Salon & wanted the same quality service for myself & Im ECSTATIC about the work she did to my hair its EXACTLY what I wanted , shes advanced in the field & of current trends & I can trust her to keep the integrity of health for my long hair , thank u Ashley so much !

Awesome salon! I love what is done to my hair every time I go in. Amy is very knowledgeable about hair styling and products. Shes also super friendly and easy to talk to. Its a little pricier than the old Aveda salon I used to go to, but I wouldnt go anywhere else! They have great customer service as well :)

She is hilarious and super talented. If you are luck enough to book with her you will no doubt walk out with amazing hair. The staff is sweet and you can tell they all get along. I love the color tabled, littered with trashy magazines and the buzz of hip music. Sakora...and Lauren are AWESOME!

Overall great experience at Sakora! I was given $10 off as it was my first trip and I was referred. My only suggestion would be to modify the manicure tables - I felt a bit uncomfortable because I couldnt sit very close to the table (there wasnt enough room for my legs).

I moved from Allen Park to Southfield, but still go Sakora because of their fine service and excellent Aveda products. Malina cuts and colors my hair and she is terrific! I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants a professional haircut and design.
