A few years ago, I loved the USPS, but this was also because our mail was previously handled through the office in Novi. The workers at the Walled Lake office simply do not care at all about their customers needs. This leads to subpar service and angry customers. Time and time again, we have watched the Mail Carrier pass by our mailbox without ever delivering the mail. The Postmaster always claims it is because our box is blocked by a car, yet, we have surveillance video showing a road that is devoid of any vehicles, and the USPS Carrier going straight past our box. No notices are ever left, and we get our mail up to a week late at times. All I wish is that we could get transferred back over to the Novi office, where we had no delays and the mail carriers always delivered the mail, even when there was a rare, occasional vehicle park on the street near our box. Although I am located closest to the Walled Lake office, I live in Novi, and I take my business to the Novi station. I encourage everyone else to do the same. Visit the Wixom or the Farmington stations whenever you need to send anything out or have anything held. I can only hope the Walled Lake office does so poorly that the higher management realizes their loss of business and gets employees that actually care.

So I came to tell my story just to realize that this post office already has TONS of bad reviews. Maybe management change youd think? This is the worst post office that Ive been to and I dont even live in Walled Lake. I live in Novi just to be served by Walled Lake horrible customer service? Shouldnt we have a say where we want out mail to go? They NEVER answer the phone so forget that... my package is already sitting there two days (and I live 10 min away) and it still not being delivered!!! What are they doing there? when you go there you have to stay 20min in line just to pick up your package (as the pick up doors are always shut and the bell is not working ... for the last .. forever... maybe fix it?), when I got delivered an open empty package all I got is a print out of what I already have and a direction do go to website to make a claim - well the website would always crash anytime I try to do it - how convenient... Obviously manager cant handle to run the place, she seems nice when you talk to her, but never resolve the problem or really help you. All I can say I wish I can go pick up my mail at NOVI. I am trying to run a small business from home and this post office is making me want to scream!

We have sent package over seas to Germany, everything was fine till it got to germany post office an same day 5-6 hours of getting to Germany the package got sent back ( adressee could not been verified). Fortunatly we have caught it same day and ive called the 800 number, the rep. Said that she will send them email and they would stop the package and proceed vith delivery. I gave them : adress, name of recipient an a phone number in germany to call her, ofcorse nothing was done the package was still on the way back to US. That process with phone calls i repeat it 5 more times (adress,phone number, name etc.) spoke to supervisors and that sort of thing, NO RESULTS. After package got home i went to my post office to getthe refund back since it wasnt delivered properly and guess what? They said " we kept our obligation of getting it to the country so there is nothingu we can do" even thou i have sent it to the person not the country, the USPS didnt want to do anything for me. Their customer service sucks , so disorganized. Like i have said i called 5 times and every time the (Representiteves) would tell me different things, so my experience was awefull.

Until recently, our subdivision off of Beck, south of 10 Mi. was serviced by the Novi Post Office. It is now serviced by the Walled Lake Post Office, and the postal worker delivering mail to our subdivision cannot seem to discern our mailbox from our next door neighbors. We were assigned house numbers that are admittedly TOO SIMILAR, (by the Novi post office) but most delivery mistakes were only occasionally made. Now they are practically a weekly, if not daily event!!!! 47669 and 47699 but with vastly different last names on the addresses. And while it is the holiday season, mail consistently being delivered around 6 p.m. or later...sometimes a day late, is unacceptable. Try calling the post office and you will listen to minutes worth of ringing followed by a busy signal with no pick up by postal employees. This is NO WAY to run a business. I am extremely unhappy with the service we now receive and if there was another competing company for our weekly mail delivery, I would switch in a heartbeat.

saw i could write a review and i wanted to share i mailed a card about 4 years ago. This card contained a bracelet which was never received. The bottom right corner of the envelope had been visibly torn. When mailing out the envelope the clerk had asked me several questions about what was in the card. I later went in to tell my story and I was left with the option to file a police report. Management had been less than interested in assisting me and not a bit helpful. I went into the office with envelope in hand. not to mention when i moved 2 years ago they offered to store my mail and said i could pick it up at my conveinance obviously within reason. i waited 2 weeks and nothing, long story short I went back periodically and never retrieved any mail. I was told sorry, what can we do about it and I left. i was using a service they offer for free to anyone. i will drive out of my way to avoid using this branch which for me has been unreliable at best.

This is by far the worse post office ever. Lost packages, lie and say no one was home to deliver but I was sitting in my living room waiting for the package and never came, but delivered my mail to my mail box. Will lie and say mail box was blocked but my neighbors mailbox right next to mine receives their mail. I Call 15 times they just hang up on you. When I finally talk to the manager, she was rude and gives excuses about my lost package. I asked for a higher up number and she told me over and over again that there is no one higher up then her hahaha okay. What about headquarters? They arent higher then her? Bull. Says my package is out for delivery, they come and deliver my mail but package isnt there. I call and they say they dont know where it is. I have had packages opened and items missing. Ive been dealing with this for over a year since I moved here. How can usps allow this bull to go on for so long with all of these horrible reviews???

We recently moved and issued a change of address a few weeks before our move date. The mail wasnt being forwarded even after a couple weeks after the move. We had to keep pestering the new residents for our mail. I then went directly to the post office and inquired about why mail wasnt being forwarded. I filled out a new change of address on the spot and the teller said he would even put a note with the carrier to be on alert. It is now 2 weeks since the 2nd request and the new residents are still getting some of our mail. Some dont have the yellow transfer sticker (which seems like its been plenty of time to get that process going) and others had a yellow sticker which stated "unable to transfer". At this rate, well get all of our addresses changed before we can get mail transferred through the post office! So much for having a safety net for the first month or so until addresses can be formally changed.
