Sam and the crew at Foline Auto were my "knights in shining armor". I was referred to them by a Belle Plaine local resident, as my vehicle was making sounds in the front end that made me nervous to drive back to the Mankato area. They fit me in to diagnose the problem, and with a short drive to diagnose, and a 15 minute layer by layer visual inspection, had determined that I had a bad left wheel bearing. Funny, as I had just taken my vehicle to Lagers in Mankato the previous Friday for the same concerns - this is where I bought my vehicle and routinely get it serviced. They told me everything was fine - all things appeared tight. Interesting, as they had just replaced my wheel bearings in October of 2014. I really dont know how they could have missed this problem, since the sounds had been happening for weeks! Foline Auto dug deeper than just a fly by inspection, and within 15 minutes, had figured out the problem. Sam said he was 100% sure it was a defective wheel bearing, and demonstrated to me, with the defective Chrysler part, they took out, exactly why he drew that conclusion. Foline Auto went to get the part that evening, so they could work on my vehicle right away in the morning - my vehicle was done by the next morning! Through the whole process I was treated with respect, given options, and the estimate was spot on. I am so thankful I was referred to Foline Auto!

I took my car in for the A/C to be charged, the guy named Sam had to give me a ride back to my house. He took the curve around the corner of the street I live on fast, and than when he backs out he grinds my gears twice while trying to reverse. Than Sam calls me said that my car would need a new compressor and basically a whole new A/C system, which would be around $1300. I told him no can do, and than he said I would have to pay for a diagnostic of $94, in which he never asked me to run in the first place, or let me know he was going to run one, and that would be how much it cost. I would definitely not deal with Sam, if anyone deal with the owner.

Initially I brought my flat tire to Tires Plus for a patch.. They claimed they patched it but I found myself with the same flat tire the next day. I brought the car back only for them to give me a bid on new tires. Feeling like something was up I decided to bring it to Sam at Foline for a second opinion. Not only did Foline fix it immediately, they also documented for me how Tires Plus never even attempted to work on my tire. I havent had any issues with the tire since. Bottom line is if you want an honest opinion feel comfortable bringing your car to Foline. Thank you very much!

Foline Auto has taken care of all of my vehicles, my family vehicles and my collector 64 Mustang. They are precise and thorough, I feel safe in my daily vehicles and I know that my Mustang is unmatched in mechanical quality. I would never bring a vehicle anywhere else - there is too much talent and knowledge in this shop. They also have character and never mislead people on what to expect with your repairs or upgrades, they consult and make sure you have a clear understanding of what needs to be done. Great shop, unmatched knowledge, amazing staff!

I have had several cars worked on over the years at Foline Auto. From brakes to body work to engine work, they have worked on it all for me and have been wonderful to deal with. They were quick to get my car back to me (which is obviously an important factor) but also did not jeopardize quality to do it. If you want to deal with a local, honest auto mechanic that charges fair prices then go with Foline Auto!

These guys are the greatest! Always honest prices. Weve gone to them for a couple years now with a few different vehicles and they never let us down. Sam and Skip are just so nice. They also let us know of things we should keep an eye on in the future, so the majority of the time we arent hit with a big unexpected issue. If youre having car problems or need car buying advice Foline Auto is the place to go!

Second great experience with these guys. Was referred to them for diesel work from a mechanic in a different town. Extensive engine work on one of my 7.3s, and just had them do head gaskets and suspension work on a 6.0 Ford. Excellent communication throughout the process, and I appreciate talking with the person doing the work. This is what an automotive repair shop should be. Thanks!

Foline Auto has been nothing but great to both my wife and I whenever weve had issues with our car. Sam Theis has worked on both my older GMC Jimmy and my wifes brand new Honda and weve come away more than happy every single time.
