I used to go here. Then I lost my job and couldnt pay for it. I went in to close my account and they said it takes 15 days to close your account and for the electronic funds transfer to stop. The funds were to be removed in 1 day. I was all paid up, didnt want to continue service, and didnt want more money taken from my account cause i couldnt afford it. I went to my bank and froze my account so they couldnt take a new payment from me. 2 days after the date they are scheduled to take money from my account I unfroze my account and they took the money anyway. I cannot pay my rent now and will be homeless at the end of the month. Thanks YMCA! I am very very stressed about this and havent slept all night. I have no one to turn to for help. I guess your money was more important than a person being homeless. I will never go to a YMCA for as long as I live!

A solid YMCA with great, helpful staff. There is plenty of cardio equipment and a pretty decent free weight area. Seems like there arent as many weight machines as in other Ys that Ive been to, but I dont use them anyhow. This place gets busier than I would have expected at 6am, but there seems to be enough equipment to go around. Id love it if they would re-institute the morning spin classes - theyve cut down to 1x per week lately. Definitely not the "see and be seen" crowd that you get at some of the higher end fitness centers, but if youre there to get in shape, this is the place for you.

Great place to get some Mommy time while my toddler enjoys playing with the phenomenal staff in the kids place. The staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. The new equipment made it even better!!! Locker rooms and pool are always clean, the convenience of the family locker room is a plus. Its nice to have an affordable place that has standards better than alot of high priced big name gyms that I personally feel uncomfortable in. I have never felt uncomfortable and that is the first reason we joined, no matter what shape, size, or color your treated the same.

The pool is using a very old system of filtration. The water is not clear and tastes a bit salty. Yes, salty. How much sweat and urine does it take to make an entire pool taste salty?! For anyone who swims regularly, the taste of the water is a big indicator. I used to use this pool but it has gotten so bad I developed a rash the last 2 times I went. Im hoping they will update the system in the fall when they empty the pool. Until then, stay away if you have sensitive skin and go to Ridgedale YMCA instead.

I bought the membership and later found a membership for cheaper. I went to the shoreveiw YMCA to cancel my membership the next day and they said I had to go to the YMCA I started my membership with I informed them that I work all weekend and wanted my money back they told me I had 30 days to cancel. So when I went back to new hope location to cancel (6days after I purchased the membership) they told me they cant refund my money. Very dissatisfied with the service I have received

Normally a good place for my wife to do some physical therapy on her own and reduce her pain level. Today they were woefully understaffed in the pool area and kept making everyone get out every 10 minutes. Even the adults. For most thatd be a nuisance but for my wife, she has mobility issues, it was a definite problem. We had to leave because she couldnt handle the pace of getting in/out. They had other life guard staff who could have come in but didnt.

I can only speak about the pool/whirlpool as that is the only area Ive used here. There is no zero-depth entry, but they have nice stairs down, and they clearly indicate which area of the pool is for free swim versus lap swim. The air is kept very warm and nice. The water in the whirlpool is very warm. It is a very large whirlpool with handicap accessibility. There is an outdoor splash pad but no outdoor pool. The family locker room is fairly large.

Best lockers of any of the ymcas Ive been to and overall a good gym. The negatives the staff doesnt manage the free weights very well allowing people to leave black weights on a black floor while they take up multiple pieces of equipment jumping around. The pool rarely has the diving board usable the area is devoted to something else They have no free stride ellipticals

This is my favorite ymca to go to for my powerlifting training. The people who work here are nice and they always support me when I do my training for the special olympics. I come here with the disability insurance using the silver and fit benefit and gyms that accept those benefits like this YMCA are truly awesome people because they want everyone to be able to exercise.

The building itself may be a little old and institutional but the equipment is all new and technologically up to date. I never have trouble finding an open machine. The only time it is even remotely crowded is the first two weeks after new years when everyone tries to live their resolutions. The sports leagues are all great and the coaches are really good with the kids.

Dated but clean. Some of the patrons children are loose. Other ys have better amenities but if basics is all you need then it has you covered. Wished family membership came with more childrens benefits like free swimming lessons, other YMCAs seem to offer this outside of mn.

The overall experience at this Y is good. The customer service is great. The upgrades to the weight room and the cardio machines were due. It seems as though upgrades come later at this Y than they do at some of the other Ys in the area.

Not safe! I was grabbed by a man, while two staff members watched. He continued to invade my personal space, so I ran away sought help but ended up leaving since the staff seemed too young to know what to do. I will never return.

Super polite staff gave us a quick walk thru since this was our first time at this location. Kids love going to the Y no matter which location we visit. Pool was busy, but still was fun!

They told me there was kids yoga and after I signed up they were like "whoops. No more kids yoga". Also the life guard is not nice and seems like she is about to snap.

The machines are brand new and the staff is extremely helpful. But since this place is family oriented, it can be a little frustrating for the serious fitness folks.

Mid size facility with most fitness center necessities. Occasional Wi-Fi outages which impact machine connectivity. Has a pool, sauna, family locker room, etc.

Its clean and well staffed. Great splash pad. Good variety of programming, too. Weve taken swimming lessons a few times here, and weve been happy with them.

This is a nice big clean gym with a pool, friendly staff, plenty of free classes and only a fraction of the costs of some other places.
