Unfortunately, I have to rate my experience here pretty bad. I received a wax here at Salon Avalon and here is my feedback. #1) I was taken back to a small room with a cloth curtain for privacy. If the esthetician left the room, I was exposed for all to see. She did do it discreetly, but it is still uncomfortable, if you know waxing sessions, a hand towel is your only cover up. #2) Although the esthetician was friendly, the experience was amateur. The wax procedure was the most hurtful I have experienced and I have been getting them for over 5 years. Yikes! I was left with multiple (and Im not talking about a few) ingrown hairs during the regrowth process. It is hard to wear underwear where you have any seams. It has been a very painful experience. #3) One last word of advice, while waiting for my appointment to begin in the front seating area, there were 2 employees speaking in a very unprofessional manner. I would wait to speak in such ways until there are no customers around. It was extremely unprofessional. Although I do not know what theyre hair services are like, I do not recommend getting any wax procedures here. It felt unclean, amateur, and overall very uncomfortable. I tried Salon Avalon because I was wanting something closer to home. I will continue going to the Aveda certified salons and travel the distance, they are the same price.

I have been a regular customer at Salon Avalon for the last 6 years but since the last 2 times I have had a very bad experience there. Today was just the limit. The hair stylist just cut my hair and didnt even intend to dry it. I had to tell her to dry them and then she did not offer to style them. I had to tell her to style my hair, she did a half ass job of it as well. She just wanted to get done with me. If I have to get such a service I can just go to Super cuts or some other cheap place. I will never return back there. I am honestly shocked with the service.

I had a young girl of 10 that had a horrible knot in there long hair. It took two ladies 1 1/2 hours to detangle. They were patient and kind to her and work so hard to save as much as we could. She now looks great - has a great cut and will of course NEVER forget to brush her hair again! The gals at Salon Avalon were amazing!!! I also get my hair done there and have always been extremely happy!

After living in Minnesota a total of 5 years, I have finally chosen a regular salon, and this is it. My hair needs are quite simple, but this place does have the capability to really glam you up, if you so choose. I have been to both Hannah and Emily a few times, and they are friendly, efficient, and skilled. The salon is clean, classy, and has a pleasant atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, too.

I have been going to this salon for about 5 years and love it! I have been seeing Kristy Shultz and she is awesome! Her color is spot on and she will make suggestions if you ask for it and it always comes out better than I imagined. I wont go to anyone else. The prices are reasonable, the people are friendly, the salon is clean, overall it ihas always been a great experience.

They are good if you are looking for a basic color and cut...I had went to them in the past for typical highlights and was satisfied. Recently I decided I wanted to try something different. I was a very light blonde and wanted a light pink/lavender undertoan something subtle yet fun. Lets just say it didnt turn out at all what I had asked for
