Just walked in when their open sign was on at 4:19 and they said they were "done for the day" even though the open sign was on and I was there 10 minutes before closing. Makes me not want to ever go back. Turn your sign off if youre done for the day and if you are "done for the day" at 4:15 post your hours accordingly. Unprofessional........... If your last cut is at 4 and there are no other appointments the open sign should be turned off so nobody else walks in thinking youre open. ........ You can try to manipulate the situation into something it wasnt. I walked into an establishment whose open sign was on only to be told it was closed. Ive been to barber shops across the country and if yu show up during posted hours you got your hair cut. Period. Especially if their sign said open. In every negative review comment your to make Jimmy a hero. He is a great guy no doubt. But that doesnt mean you have not made unprofessional mistakes. I talked to another local guy who will never go back to your establishment because he broke out badly from your unsanitary cutting tools. Own up to your unprofessional mistakes instead of replying to bad reviews in a snarky way. I can see its your way of trying to redeem yourself but it looks bad. There is also a grocery store across the block. There is no excuse to miss lunch and close early. If you respond again, I can keep going.

To Victoria Zerfosss comments: "You came into Southview Barbershop with a friend who I assumed "tried" to cut your hair by the looks of the "bad attempt to ball fade you". The barber on duty simply asked:"Do you have an appointment today? You replied:"No, do I need one"? He said you would today because he was booked up to that time:3:30pm. You didnt say anything & turned to leave upset you couldnt get right in. The barber stated loud enough for me to hear; that he would return "after" his 4:10pm dentist appointment & would gladly serve you when he returned. You were too upset about not getting in immediately that you brushed off his "professional-attempt" to get you a appointment later. He never "rudely" spoke to you. The description you stated on the barbershops review was another poor attempt to let people know your feelings about not getting in immediately! I know Jim the barber(37 years he has cut hair) that goes to sick customers homes to serve his"over 50 yr old customers that cannot make it in due to illness. Patience is paramount in personal service. How do I know? I was there when you came in & saw you leave without a smile. Had you given him the opportunity you would of left with a smile instead of a frown.

I tried a couple of times.. first time experience was horrible. Hair was a mess. Second time I wanted to give the other guy a shot (he apologized for the last time). Again.. horrible cut. You are better off going to a great Clips. This is not a true barber shop. May work for some but certainly not for me. A lot of attention to detail (I appreciate) but , I am not sure what detail.

Walk-ins welcome Monday through Friday, open til 6. Unless, of course, youre a woman in need of a fade. Then before you can even speak, you are rudely told that theyre not doing any more cuts today (3:30.) Cant speak for the quality of their cuts and I wont ever be able to. Id recommend that any person who isnt a white man over 50 go elsewhere.

I go out of my way for a haircut from this shop, both guys are great barbers and they make you feel comfortable the entire time you go here. I AM A LIFELONG CUSTOMER!

This place is a real barber shop, not a salon. Straight razors and shaving cream, the whole deal. It is always busy and tough to be a walk in. Great cuts.

Whats the point of an appointment if Im going to have to wait for over an hour? Took time off work... The search for a good barber continues.
