Remember, its cash or personal check(!) only here, but thats okay as long as youre prepared. I wasnt and the very nice woman who cut my hair said no problem, I could come back with it. She proceeded to give me the cut I asked for (an easy one in my case - a "buzz cut with taper") --but Ive been unhappy with how Great Clips has been doing it. Not here. It was just fine. Needless to say I hurried back with the money just to show my thanks, and to make sure Id be welcome next time -- I will be back.

Was heading to cost cutters for a quick hair cut when I noticed the sign for Signals Hills Barber, and boy am I glad I tried it out. Hair cuts were decently priced at $14, and the quality of the cut was great. Definitely a big step above the chain cutters. The barber, whos name I forgot unfortunately, was very friendly and we had a great conversation while my hair was cut. I know where Im going for my hair cuts from now on.

If youre in the area looking for a great experience come and see Pat or Gil. Excellent service, great price, and you dont get all the animosity you get from the chain shops. Consistency is key and thats what they have that the chains dont.
