This is in response to Ariel Duntemans post. I worked with Ariel for sometime where she was written up several times by our prior director who was extremely unhappy with her as an employee. When our director left and I took over as director, I informed her we would start over because she need training and thats what I am here for. However, I found Ariel to be on her phone constantly texting more than she was taking care of the children that she was responsible for; also, I had to clean her room for her every night when she closed to assure that is was done correctly for closing purposes. Furthermore, ratio changes when the children are out side when there is only four twos that I could not make her understand being she couldnt handle that many because she was always overwhelmed where parents complained that she was always yelling at our children with zero patience for our students. Ariels fellow teachers/coworkers did not want to work with her for all the above reasoning. I tried working with her even helping her with her job and college where I directed her to my old professors for scholarships assisting her with her blood drive for scholarship money. After keeping her on as an employee trying to mentor her in the education field, her review is very confusing to all of us who continued to help her regardless of her lack of experience working with children. I was relieved when she changed her major from education to Biology. I remember asking her if she had any friends who needed a job and she claimed I was her only friend that makes this post confusing and hurtful. As far as the state we have a very wonderful state lady who we are working with who enjoys our children and our teachers that makes me proud of Chesterfield Childrens Center and to be apart of this school. Lastly, all of our teachers have background checks that are in their files that is a state requirement where all of our parents are more than happy with our teachers. I apologize for this review because this is a disgruntled former employee who has no reasoning to be angry and I ask you to disregard her post when choosing us as a school for your child/ children because we have parents who have children who are now in grade school that attended here as infants to graduation that their younger children attend our facility now.

Please note this center is now under new ownership as of 2008/2009, and the previously written reviews were written under the old staff/ownership. It is basically a new center, in a previously owned building. I have just recently started sending my 1 year old to this center. The first thing that struck me is how clean it is. Most centers I have been in smell of bleach and dirty diapers, but this one does not! I cannot say better things about the staff here. Mark and Tracy the owners are there daily and always greeting you with a huge smile and there to open doors for you when bringing in the kids. They give detailed daily reports on how your child did that day. What I find amazing is how the owners and the director know what your child has done that day, even though they are not in the rooms. They are very involved in the quality care your child is receiving. There is one room for each age group, and it is the most reasonably priced center in the area. I have not found many with a cheaper tuition. My child gets very much attention while he is there, and they are constantly sending home his art projects that he has painted during the day, which is so wonderful for a mother to see. He never cries when I drop him off, which shows how loved he is when he is there. Most importantly, the staff seems very happy as well, which means they transfer that onto my child. I cannot recommend a more personalized care center for your child. They truly are fabulous! I feel like I know them on a personal level, and they know my child very well. He does not get lost in a group of 100 kids. He is excited to see them every morning, and they are always excited to see him!

I have had very positive experiences here. My daughter is in the twos class she loves her teacher and seems very happy there. The staff also seems happy and it puts me at ease that my daughter is in the company of teachers who are in a good mood and engaging with her in a positive way. They also offer a wide variety of extra activities such as Spanish and sign language lessons, gym class, field trips, water play days and ice cream truck visits. You can also choose to sign up for dance, sports and computer classes for your preschooler. She never cries or clings to me when I drop her off and when I pick her up she has a dry diaper, a clean face and is often busy playing with her friends and isnt ready to leave. Her development is progressing rapidly. She can already sing her ABCs and is identifying several letters and numbers. Management and teachers have been kind to us and understanding of our needs. All of this is offered at a very competitive price too. I was a bit worried about the few negative reviews but was impressed when I took a tour, so I urge you to do the same and judge for yourself. For me the choice was very easy and I would recommend this school to my friends and family.

Chesterfield Childrens Center is Wonderful!!! The staff is friendly and attentive. The owners Mark and Tracy are wonderful. Everyone there truly cares for the kids. As a first time parent picking a daycare for my 10 week old was a really scary idea and after visiting numerous in the west county area this was the ONLY place that was top notch, clean, well staffed, engaging etc. I feel confident taking my son there and leaving him in good hands. They are always doing something with the children, singing, arts, playing with, and are always making sure that all the needs are met. They know your name and your childs... They truly care. My son gives big smiles everyday when I drop him off when his teacher comes and takes him from me, that is important to me. This is a top notch facility and highly recommend it to anyone.

I used to work here. The teachers themselves really care about the children but management is terrible and ultimately the reason I left. The day care is understaffed, there are no background checks on teachers, most of the food served is pizza rolls, pizza, bad chicken nuggets from the store. Most of the time the rooms were over capacity, especially when I left there were upwards of 15 students to one teacher. Many rules are broken by management, such as moving younger children into the older childrens rooms in an attempt to balance, or moving older children to younger rooms where said child is not learning what they need to. This day care has been in trouble with the state many times and I strongly urge parents to look else where for child care.

You can get better quality child care for your money! This day care is so understaffed that the children are often not being watched and are frequently getting hurt because of it. At one time my child was told to wait over an hour to use the restroom because there were not enough employees to take her inside to the bathroom! Teachers change so frequently you can never be sure exactly who is watching your child. The food served consists mostly of sugary sweets and juice. One day my child was given a chocolate bar for morning snack and she complained that it hurt her stomach. I chose a home day care instead where I pay less and have had a better experience.
