I made a mistake of using box dye on my hair, and it came out very dark, almost purple. I went to Jon Tomas to fix the problem. I was going for a strawberry blonde, but with the staff they had I ended up with a burgundy. I thought I was gonna have a panic attack right there in my chair. I was taken into the bathroom by the stylist to see my hair in that light as if that lighting was better. IT WAS STILL BURGANDY!! The supervisor suggested another shampoo, as if that was gonna do the trick. After the shampoo I was surround by the staff... they were all saying how great my hair looked. My anxiety was on the rise. Ive never experienced anything like it & Ive never once complained in a stylist chair. Ive never even wrote a bad review on a place, but this was ridiculous. I wasnt offered any compensation, matter of fact I had a 40$ off coupon & my bill came to 163.00. That was for an uplift, and color, no cut. I will not be going back there, ever. It was a year ago && Im still devastated.

I had a Groupon for $95 worth of services. I had my hair colored all over, foiled and cut and bought a $9 can of hair spray. I ended up paying $129 out of my pocket PLUS the Groupon. Talk about overpriced. My stylist couldnt carry on a conversation, the salon looked old and worn and another stylist there was dropping the F bomb while talking to a client. I will never visit Jon Tomas again. I like my color, but the cut was terrible. I ended up going to another salon 10 days later to see what the problem was. She said I had "holes" cut in the hair near my ears and it was uneven around my neckline and framing my face. I called the salon to speak to a manager 5 days ago and havent received a callback. Id suggest reviewing their business practices and training with their stylists.

I had purchased a coupon for mani/pedi services via Living Social. I scheduled my appointment well in advance - several weeks in advance. As a side note: They will only honor one coupon per visit - even if your commute is a long one. I received a call the morning of the day before service confirming my appointment. Then got another call that afternoon cancelling my appointment with their apology. I had coordinated the appoint with another appointment that I only have once a year in the area - since gas is nearly $4 a gallon and I live 40+ miles away. Now they want me to reschedule - I have NO idea when I will be able to that. Needless to say - I give them 1 star for customer service. I am Very disappointed.

I love Stephanie. I have been getting my hair cut with her for a few years now, even though I moved to Florida over a year ago. I went to high end salons in Florida who charge $150 for a cut and dry.... I came back in town and had her cut my hair and she showed me how they destroyed the back of my hair... She is a miracle worker and fixed it. Im scared to go to anyone else... She is almost worth the $300 plane ticket for me just to come see her!!! So sweet and so talented. Always cuts my hair exactly how I want and explains her process if I ask. Not a single complaint whatsoever (except I wish she was in Florida!). I have medium long wavy hair and tricky side bangs.

I bought my groupon with a lot of excitement. Call to the salon was a total disaster. Spent 12 minutes with a "woman" who they will not name, who could not answer a single question without putting me on hold. Then she disappeared and handed me to the receptionist who would not tell me the name of the previous person! Huh. So we will see. I have already spent my money on this groupon and can only pray I come out of there looking good. Why do people plan a groupon drive if they are unable to handle the procedure!! So AFTER buying it, I found these reviews. Mmmmm.

I love the days I get to go to Jon Thomas! The staff is always super friendly and great at their jobs. They are consistently taking classes to help improve their talents and bring new style options to their clients. Stephanie is my hair stylist. All I do is walk in with a small idea of what I would like done and she not only makes it happen, but brings in her new techniques to better than I ever would have imagined! All the girls there are just great! And you can drink a glass of wine while getting your hair done, which never hurts anything :)

Been State-side for 4 years from London and was getting serious fatigue from trying to find my forever stylist. Stephanie is it! She listened, asked clarifying questions, and then explained exactly what she thought needed doing. My hair colour is simply amazing, my cut too! Best blow dry Ive had since I left London. Theres also 2 other Brits working there, so this homesick Brit got a Brit fix! Love Jon Tomas! Stephanie is amazing!!!!!!

I am in danger of becoming horribly vain because of all the compliments I get on my hair! Claire foils and colors my hair and cuts it, and its gorgeous. She is friendly and sweet and a particular favorite of mine. I wont let anyone else style my hair for me. The staff at Jon Tomas are professional, personable and helpful over the phone and in person. I love going to the Salon and feel as if I get royal treatment!

I was so happy to find Jon Tomas Salon after moving to the STL area. Katie is amazing and always makes sure I am 100% happy with my cut before I leave. She is super sweet and really talented. Everyone in the salon is very friendly - if youre in need of a great cut, I absolutely recommend this salon (especially Katie!).

I went in to get my hair colored, and I had Carrie. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with a hello and a great atmosphere. Carrie did a great job finding the perfect color and making sure it was ok. She was very professional and friendly and I love my new hair

I love your salon and Katie and Julie, who do my hair and eyebrows. Just wish you didnt allow young children to accompany your patrons. It is not fair to expect appropriate behavior of the children nor is it fair to other patrons affected by the children.
