Thanks to Jim weve purchased two houses and have sold one of them. First off... Jim knows everyone. In our search for both homes (2011 and 2016) he knew the moment that a house was posted for sale or about to hit market just from word of mouth. In todays world, that gave us a huge buying advantage. Plus, after searching through what seemed like thousands of photos online, the moment that my wife and I saw a property that we wanted to see in-person, wed toss Jim a quick text message and 99.9% of the time we had a message back saying... "booked it". Once we would arrive at a property, Jim would immediately walk off to inspect the most common issues such as foundation, roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. So while my wife and I would be in awe of the beautiful kitchen cabinets or updated appliances, Jim was focused on the attributes that mattered. And this came in handy multiple times during the negotiation process... such as the rotted tree that we had cut down. And Ill tell you, the same attention to detail also came when selling our home. Jim knows what buyers are looking for. Hell give you his honest opinion when it comes to refreshing your paint colors, cleaning up house clutter, cleaning windows, etc. He did everything that he could to help us earn top dollar for our home in Prairie Village, KS. If you cant tell by my review, I highly recommend Jim Kraus. Hell walk through walls for you as you look for your dream property. Drop him an email or phone call, you wont regret it.

My wife and I have had nothing but a good experience with Brookside Realty, especially with Courtney Kraus who is our agent. We were considering selling our house FSBO as weve felt agents weve worked with in the past made a hefty commission off of us without much effort put into it. But when we met Courtney, we found someone who is worth every penny. She is an expert agent who has a passion for what she does, works extremely hard and has a keen eye for the details. And a huge plus is that she makes the process enjoyable. Weve also had the pleasure to work with Jim Kraus, her brother. They are a great team, and a very ethical operation. I relocated back to KC from Chicago last year and my mortgage broker recommended Jim Kraus / Brookside Realty. I couldnt have been happier with my experience. Jim was completely accommodating of my schedule for all the showings I wanted. His knowledge of the KC market was invaluable to me and I trusted his advice on neighborhoods and pricing implicitly. My negotiation phase went smoothly as did my closing. Jim has been an amazing resource for all types of contractors. Just because my transaction was over didnt mean Jim was finished working for me. He definitely believes in "service after the sale". I would recommend Jim and Brookside Realty to anyone looking for a great property buying experience.

We used Brookside Realty to sell two homes and buy another. Both homes were sold within less than one month of being listed. We needed to sell both fairly quickly and Brookside Realty got the job done. Our agent made an extra effort to stage the houses and to get to all inquiries. We felt we were well represented in both the selling and purchase of our new home. The agents know the area very well and are a great local business. We would definitely recommend Brookside Realty.
