Went to Hudson/Hawk for the first time this morning. Outstanding haircut, beard trim, service, and atmosphere. And the major product used in the shop? Layrite. The whole place smelled like that vanilla. In fact, after my haircut, beard trim, steamed towel treatment, and shampoo, Mitch applied Layrite Matte Cream to my hair (topped with Byrd Surfspray). Sure made my day. And the 25% discount for Veterans (and police, fire, etc.) was a nice touch. Will be going back to this place for sure. Oh, and I am in my Sixties - Ive been to so many other barber shops in KC, I have lost count. So believe me when I say this place is outstanding.

My haircuts with Joey at the KC location is honestly one of things that I look forward to the most. He pays extreme attention to detail and makes the experience enjoyable, it is like having one of my friends cut my hair. I dont think there is anyone else I would trust to cut my hair at this point. When it comes to the barbershop, all the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The design of the shop is exceeds what anyone that is looking for in the barber experience would want or expect. I think anyone that is not going to Hudson Hawk is missing out an opportunity that any modern man wanting to look his best would want.

Hudson Hawk Barbershop is for customers wanting a service beyond a haircut. It is for the modern-man who enjoys a nice environment with interactions among barbers, other clients, and of course an exceptional haircut / beard grooming. The barbers are thorough in discovering what kind of service the customer wants and then executing it perfectly. I have NEVER been disappointed with Hudson Hawk, and if were to be I wouldnt hesitate to let them know. I appreciate the complimentary water and suckers that they offer as well as the premium hair / beard products the sell in the store.

Mitch was awesome, as was all other staff, except for one douchesnozzle with artificially grey hair and beat-to-death kicks the size of a small yacht. I kid you not! I watched this guy, Zach, cut somebodys hair for about 5 minutes before it dawned on me...this guy doesnt care about his customers and it shows in his work, his fade game is garbage and he was rude when his customer asked him to shave some spots he had carelessly missed because his approach to work is horrible. this guy seemed detrimental to the teams morale and customers experience!! just a thought guys! -CHRIS

My 6 year old daughter has been wanting to shave to side of her head all summer to be like her favorite aunt. When she was ready to, we searched for a barbershop that we felt might not be so intimidating for her. Thank goodness we found Hudson Hawk KC!!! Not only is your location amazing, but the receptionists were so friendly and Gabby was awesome! We will definitely be back and Ive already recommended your shop to so many friends and family. My little one is already thinking of what Gabby can shave onto the side of her head next! Many thanks!

I was pumped to try them out but it was average. Priced higher for what you receive. I got a quick, decent haircut. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. Cost $30 + $6 tip I left. Plenty of shops in the area that offer the similar hip, masculine environment at a much lower price. On the flipside, at the same price, many other area barbers go way above and beyond on the service. Maybe I just dont get it but I felt like I was paying more for some hipster marketing stuff and not for super good haircut.

Probably the worst cut I have ever had. "Alex" or whomever his name was didnt even wash my hair prior to cutting. Totally uneven. Total joke for a very expensive haircut. A gentlemans barbershop it is definitely not nor anything close. Just people that have a good front yet lacking any talent or customer satisfaction skills. You want to throw away 35-40 bucks on a crappy cut or act as if you are begging for a good haircut in order to get mediocre service then this is the place for you!

Gabby has taken GREAT care of me since Ive switched to her from my previous barber. Her haircuts are always on point, and she asks lots of questions to make sure she gives me the cut I want. She has even stayed a little later to fit me into her schedule, which I really appreciated. Theres hardly ever any wait time, and checkout is always pretty fast. You get in and out with a great haircut at this place. The experience is worth every penny! Thanks! -Brandon

I had an awesome experience at Hudson Hawk. I just moved in to the area and was looking for a barber to hook me up with a beard trim, I am terrible at cutting the lines myself. I was happily surprised to find such a great place within walking distance. I walked in with no appointment and they were able to squeeze me in. The shop was clean, staff was cool, and my beard has never looked better. 10/10 will visit again.

Im pretty particular about my beard trim and Ive been looking for someone that would do more than a quick clipper trim. Eric did an awesome job not only taking his time with the trim using scissors but also explaining what he was doing for the process of growing it out for a better groomed beard. I will definitely be a new returning customer!

I brought my nephew to Hudson Hawk to get a hair cut. Very professional, clean shop with a welcoming, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Great quality of work! He loved the hair cut and appreciated the barbers attention to detail and making sure everything was done well! Well definitely go back again.

Everyone in the shop is super cool & seems to get along well with one another. BJ & Gerry are two of my favorite people in KC. BJ is always speaking life into me when I visit & Gerry has the Million Dollar Hands! This has to be the best barber shop in Missouri.... PERIOD!

Was in KC for a wedding and went in to get a haircut fixed from a different barber back in TX. Zack was friendly and a skilled barber who not only fixed my hairbut gave one of the best hair cuts i think i have had. was a great experience and wish they had one back home.

Get you FRESH cut from Rupert! Super clean barber shop! Recently remodeled with great customer service, treat yourself to an ACTUAL haircut. The included shampoo and wash is a delightful ending to a great cut. My go to barber shop from now on to keep me LOOKIN SHARP!
