My experience with Tracee at University Barber Shop L.L.C. Whoa....Where do I start? Tracee is an amazing barber and stylist. I have been going to her for many many years and not once did I get a bad haircut. She pays attention to details of what type of haircut you are looking for. My pet peeve? Dont ever cut my hair too short. In all the years that I have been going to her I have never been disappointed. I love Tracees haircuts and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. The times that I did have to go to someone else because of certain circumstantials, I was disappointed and couldnt wait to get back to Tracee so that she could get me back in shape. I highly recommend her and any of her stylists that work in her shop. Amazing amazing people. Oh one more thing, They are so much fun and I look forward to each and everyone of my appointments.

University Barber Shop is a wonderful place to get exactly you want and need. The shop has been on the UMKC campus since 1962 and is privately owned. Tracee and her stylists do a GREAT job and the customer service is outstanding!!! You feel like you are family with them not just a number or $ sign. The prices are affordable. They must be doing something right to have so many Alumni, staff, faculty, students and people from all over coming back for so many years! So if you are looking for a Barber/Hairstylist give them a call.

Note that the shop is located in the Atterbury Student Success Center and is accessed at the north entrance toward the east side of the building. Tracee did my cut and I must say it was one of the best experiences I have had. It was very clear she is experienced and loves what she does. Will come back!

Dont listen to these other reviews about affordability. I got a basic haircut no product and it cost me $26. I figured theyd be at most $8 since its located on a college campus.If you want a quality haircut for a little bit of a premium its not a bad place.
