Ive given this shop way too many times to fix what they have screwed up. I had a power steering pump go bad. I had them "fix it" for the better part of a grand. It went out again FOUR times. And now its leaking again. I had to bring it in SEVEN times before they would look at it. The policy is they have the same sub par tech work "fix" a repeat complaint and sent me away to come back when convenient for them before I finally threw a fit. A new tech did a better job, (last repair was April) but now the thing is falling apart again. Whether bad install or bad part, KC Complete Auto has failed me as a customer. To add icing on the cake, the brake line I had them fix around a year and a half ago has now failed. My new mechanic said that the line was corroded and old, he guessed they used an old part. I appreciate that there is a warranty, but the amount of time and productivity it has cost me to repeatedly go back is ridiculous. Nice guys, but Im going to have to bring it somewhere else to get it actually fixed it seems. Im considering initiating legal proceedings. Also, this shop will bribe a 5 star review for free movie tickets. Take the positive reviews with a grain of salt.

WARNING: Take inventory of your car parts before going in for a service. The first time I went to this place on N.Oak they lost the center cap to my rim. they called me about 15 minutes before they were about to close to come pick it up. Second time last Saturday 6-25-16 I went for an oil change and for my front two tire to look for a slow air leak. I checked my wheels, and once again the center cap was missing from my rim. When I asked Mike - what seemed to be a store manager, he had the technicians look, couldnt find it. He took a picture of one of my center caps and told me he would call me on Monday with a result. Monday came and I had to physically walk into the store again to ask some lady at the front to have Mike call me because he was with a customer at the time. When he called he said he hasnt been able to find it and he would call me when he found something. Then he hangs up on me. Mike was extremely rude on the phone as if I was an inconvenience to ask where the rest of my rim was. Its Almost been a week now and I still have not gotten a response. This location is absolutely terrible at servicing and customer service. I give them money to lose parts of my car.

I absolutely love working with KC Complete Auto Service. Anytime I call in I speak with Curtis, who is always kind and helpful. On more than one occasion he has gone above and beyond to provide great customer service. I always pay the same price they originally quoted, and I never get calls saying they suddenly found some "urgent" repair that will cost me hundreds of dollars. The team is trustworthy and no nonsense. Just a few years ago I paid a different shop $100+ to install new hubcaps on my car. Last month I bought them myself for $20 per Curtis advice. He showed me how to install them myself and gave some tips for avoiding the 4x higher price other mechanics seem happy to charge. With every interaction I trust the team more. Theyre respectful, professional, and friendly, and they make the process of caring for my car something I look forward to rather than dread. If you need your car worked on (and especially if youre a woman whos tired of feeling like youre being taken advantage of at auto repair shops), work with KC Complete Auto Service.

Absolutely not. My car began to shake and had trouble accelerating, and, being a woman who actually knows how cars somewhat operate, I bought new spark plugs and changed out all four of them. When that didnt fix the problem, I decided to look for a mechanic. I was new to the area, so I just picked the closest one. I received a call that said they "thought" the problem was the fuel injector, but that they couldnt be sure until after the procedure, which they quoted at $350. I declined--and was still charged an 80 dollar diagnostic fee for diagnosing something they "thought might be the problem." I took the car over for a second opinion at Gore Automotive. They found my second coil pack was out and the total cost me $150, less than half the price KC Complete Auto quoted me for something that would not have fixed the problem. My car runs like new thanks to Gore. I still lost 80 dollars out of the deal to KC Complete, but I was able to avoid over $350 in unnecessary work. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your maintenance needs.

I just popped in to this Main Street KC location, hoping on an off chance they would have somewhat quick availability to complete a routine State Inspection. My first stop had at least a 2-3 hour wait! However, here at KC Auto Complete I was promptly greeted by the gentleman at the desk, who was more than happy to assist me (as well as courteous to other customers as well). The inspection took no time at all, one replacement bulb was needed, of which I was notified and politely asked if I would like their service for replacement (versus some service shops in which you end up with parts and labor costs you were never notified were needed). Granted this was a simple light bulb replacement, I certainly appreciated the courtesy of the communication. All was completed, quickly and I was out the door in no time. I appreciated the kindness and attentiveness all the employees provided and will definitely return for any services needed in the future for sure! I recommend you give them a try!

Finally! I found a place I can trust. Not only is lobby clean & and the staff friendly but its nice to go somewhere that I dont feel like Im being up sold or tricked into repairs I dont need. I lived in midtown for 12 years & I can tell you I had a lot of bad experiences before finding KC Complete Auto on Main. Now I live 20 mins away & still drive there because I trust their service and advice. I would highly recommend visiting them even if its just for a quick oil change. They wont steer you wrong or try to sell you $80 windshield wipers (because yes, sadly I have had that happen to me at other places). We use them for all our cars and will continue to take our cars to them. Its so nice to go to someone you can trust vs. just a random different place every time where you are not sure of what youre getting.

Had an accident nearby, which is why I brought it to them. After they worked on my vehicle, it still had a noise that wasnt normal. I brought it back to them and the tech thought it could be the bushings on the sway bar, so they replaced those....yet there was still an abnormal noise. The tech said "I dont know what else the noise could be, and the noise may never go away, but you dont worry, its not a safety issue." Unsatisfied with this answer, I took it to Christian Brothers, who quickly found the issue: There are 4 bolts that brace the engine to the frame...2 of them were missing and 2 were half way screwed in. Not a safety concern??? My suggestion to these guys: If you dont know what is causing the noise, you shouldnt say "its not a safety issue," because you really dont know.
